I've never rode a subway before. They're very fast although. I feel like the city is just whizzing by. I let myself lean back in the seat and sighed.

Kol Stevens. He's so aggressive. Crossing my arms across my chest I looked out the window. Why me? I couldn't help but think to myself.

I just don't understand how someone so sweet could be rude. Even his brother seemed to be nicer than Kol, and from what I've heard back at the Villa that's a shock. Feeling someone sit down next to me I turned my head to say hello to the person.

"Hey I'm Josh!" He stuck his hand out and I took it shaking it with my own hand.

"Hello, I'm Davina," I smiled at him which he great fully returned.

"You look like a deer in the headlights," Josh laughed studying my face.

"Why?" Sending him a confused look he laughed more. Pointing to my forehead he started.

"Well for starters the wrinkles forming on your forehead," reaching my hand to my forehead to feel caused to him to laugh further, "not bad wrinkles just curiosity and stress it looks like."

"I am that one."

"Why so stressed? If you don't mind me asking ya know? You don't have to tell me because you don't know and everything you know? So I get it if you don't want to talk about it!" Cutting him off with a giggle I couldn't help but stare at the guy.

He was funny, friendly, and he wasn't aggressive. Maybe a new friend in this big city is just what I needed.

"First off I'm not from here," with a up-down look from Josh he snorted.

"Nah really?" With a light shove I laughed along with him.

"Shut up!" I felt myself laughing further, and he gestured for me to continue. "Well I'm from New Orleans I'm really not from here. I came here to study at the Fashion Institute but things have not been going as planned. My apartment turns out to be communal living and I literally have a bedroom. I mean we have all the other homey requirements that I share with everyone else, but I don't know I was kinda hoping to be on my own. Show my parents I could really do it ya know?"

"That's a lot of pressure. Hometown girl moves way far and nothing being what it seemed? That's rough. I remember it though," he trails off at the last part and stands up. "This is my stop!" He shrugged and pulled out some cash.

"Hey Josh!" Hearing his name he stopped and turned back to me, "You have to pay for this subway?" I asked sheepishly realizing I never grabbed my purse from the home office. With a nod of his head I bit my lip.

"You don't have any money do you?" He asked laughing.

"Please I have money just not here with me right now. Tell you what you help me with a plan and I'll help you?"

"What we're you thinking? You know I could just pay for you right?" With a shake of my head I shot him down and looked around the subway. There were two doors. Josh could go out the door in the front of the bus and I could sneak out the second!

Quickly telling Josh the plan he just burst in fits of laughter. Rolling my eyes I shoved him towards the front of the bus where he stopped to chat with the driver. Yes! Good job Josh!

Crouching lower than the seats I crossed the isle and creeped over to the door. Other passengers were sending all sorts of looks my way but I didn't care. I had to get off. Watching the doors beginning to open I slipped off the bus to see Josh stepping off the front of the bus. Running over to him we shared a high five and both took a seat on the bench.
