Sealed With A Kiss

Everyone was comfortably seated in the patio set and was waiting for me to pull the capes off the dresses. Knowing I had to present my pieces everyone decided it was best for them to get dinner before sitting down. I had to describe the work I put into making the dresses while showing the dress itself off.

I decided to curl my hair and wear a black dress I had also designed, but that was a surprise! The dress I had designed, and was wearing to also show off as a bonus, had a light pink silk material underneath with a netted black cotton layer over that. It had shoulder straps and had a very appealing bust cut.

Pulling myself out of my thoughts I looked up, and just in time to make eye contact with Freya. She finally sat down with her food and I took a quick scan to see if everyone else was ready. I caught Kol's eye last and no surprise he was already staring at me. He offered me a warm smile and it sent chills down my spine, but in a good way. I took a deep breath and smiled back getting all the boost I needed to present my pieces.

I moved to stand in front of my middle dress and smiled at everyone smiling and eating. I cleared my throat gaining everyone else's attention and I felt my smile deepen seeing Hannah give me thumbs up. I let a laugh slip and composed myself before starting.

"Okay hello! So um you guys all know me, but because I have to present in class we're gonna pretend like none of you know me whatsoever? Cool! Okay. Hello, my name is Davina and I get all my inspiration from pretty much anything. Our assignment was to design three pieces to give everyone a vibe of my style on designs."

"I hate to interrupt you Davina, but I love the dress you're wearing. Where did you get it?" Camille gave a hand gesture before she had asked her question and I smiled at her. I knew she was dying to know because she had already saw the three dresses along with Natalie.

"That's an excellent question, but I'm sorry what is your name?" catching onto my vibe and remembering I was practicing that we were in my actual class she cleared her throat.

"My name is Camille and I am just observing today," I nodded my head at her and started to walk closer to the patio set so they could all get a closer look at my dress.

"Well Camille. This dress is hand stitched, mostly made from cloths sewn by a machine at the hands of someone who was a little rushed at the time being," seeing the realization on a few of their faces I turned to look at Kol. He looked confused like he hadn't gotten it yet.

"Can I feel the material?" Camille continued and I gestured for her to stand up and approach me on my 'platform'. Feeling the end of my dress she let her mouth open in a O and she smiled.

"You guys I love this! Who created this!"

"I did! I hand stitched it last night in my room. I wanted to do something extreme so I decided not only would I be showing the three pieces I specifically made for this assignment I am wearing another piece that will be shown in my collection." Hearing gasps and approvals I smiled and approached my first dress.

"Alright ladies and gentlemen this dress," I grabbed the ends of the cape and elegantly pulled it off the dress. I heard multiple reactions behind me and turned back towards them to start going into the details of the piece.

"So when I was designing this piece I wanted to create a southern look. I'm from Louisiana and when you go to a farmers market and you see those cute little girls running in those little sundresses right? Well when I designed this piece that was what I was watching. That's what inspired me for this dress. I actually used a extra large pink table cloth for the material."

Watching the shocked expressions go across on peoples faces I did everything I possibly could to contain my giggle that wanted so badly to escape. Natalie rose her hand as well as Elijah. Pointing to Natalie I gestured for her to go ahead.

"Okay so I'm just curious, are we talking about a paper table cloth or a fabric type cloth? I don't know I guess I'm confused?"

"Would you, as well as everyone else, like to come and get a closer look and feel the dress?" Watching them all begin to rise I watched them file around the dress feeling it and examining it.

Answering all their questions they possibly had about both the dresses, the one I was wearing and the one I had revealed. I felt a tap on my shoulder and turn to see Kol.

"Hello girlfriend," he spoke only loud enough for us to hear and I smiled. I took his hand in mine to give it a squeeze and released it again to turn around and listen to Elijah compliment me on the ruffles around the bust.

"Thank you! I wanted to do something a little different, but I also wanted to draw a little attention to have a tighter bust in the waistline and top cut." he nodded his head drinking in the information and I turned around to see Kol was in another conversation with Stephen. They were staring at my dress with smiles and discussing something.

Moving onto the middle dress and then the dress after that I concluded my presentation and waited for everyone's reactions. Everyone began to stand and applaud and I laughed and grabbed the capes to cover the dresses back up.

Hearing everyone discussing and dispersing behind me I focused on covering the dresses without creating any wrinkles. I felt a tap on my shoulder and I turned around to see Kol standing there with a full plate of delicious looking food and a glass of what looked like some kind of champagne.

"Hi baby, your dresses were absolutely beautiful! I'm not trying to brag but I know Donna personally and that outside of the box thinking and making something this beautiful out of it is amazing! I'm so proud of you!" He finished rambling and planted a kiss on the corner of my mouth before shoving the food and drink in my hands.

"Kol wait! I'm done coveri-"

"Darling I know, but you just put on a magnificent presentation. Sit down and eat, relax and drink a glass of champagne. You deserve it you did so great!" He offered me another smiled before beginning to work as smoothly as I did in covering the other two dresses. I watched the muscles in his back move every time he flexed his arms while he was adjusting the capes over the dresses.

It was one of the hottest things I had ever witnessed, and it was doing something to me. I was beginning to feel something I had never felt before and I didn't know what it was. Whatever the feeling was it was building in the bottom of my stomach, it was almost like butterflies but so much more intense.

"Did I hear him call you baby earlier?" I heard Hannah whisper into my ear and I felt my entire body jump. I heard her stifle a laugh and I had to remind myself I couldn't punch her for nearly giving me a heart attack.

"Yes he did," I whispered back to her and I didn't have to look at her face to know she was smiling.

"So does this mean-"

"Yes."

"Oh my gosh sinc-"

"Last night, his room," I smiled thinking back before focusing back on Hannah, "shut up he's coming!" I heard her giggle and felt her stand up. She walked away and Kol approached me with a suspicious smile. He leaned down to level his face with mine, and I could tell by the look on his face that he was trying not to laugh. I didn't know why though?

"You know I just heard that whole conversation. You're so beautiful tonight by the way, and also you're sleeping in my room tonight. Enjoy your glory from your dress and eat the rest of that food! I'll see you in a bit baby," with a warm, passionate kiss he pulled away from me and left me sitting there stunned.

He was beautiful, and kept me on my toes and my god I wasn't sure how fast I was falling for him.
