CHAPTER 4:Suikawari

Y/N POV

Maybe because I spent my days watching Kenma. And adapting to his environment that's why we have some common when it comes to volleyball.

I looked at Kenma but he just look away.

If the universe don't allowed us to be together I'm still hoping maybe we can be friends. We are here on the same place, the same school. I just want the awkwardness to disappear. It's not like my love for him will disappear in an instant.

"Y/n!" Seiji called me. It's time for me to serve the ball. I serve the ball and Fukunaga receives it and Kenma toss it to Kuroo. Takuya-senpai and Kenzo-senpai tried to block it but they didn't. Seiji receives the ball I toss it to Kenzo and the rally keeps on and on until their team scored. That was a long run.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

"Are you okay?" Seiji asked y/n.

"Yeah. A bit tired!" She said and smiles at him while her hands are on her knees while breathing heavily.

"Let's end this!" Kenzo shouted.

They got in their position. Kenma y/n are both on the center now. Kenma felt nervous while looking at the back of y/n. The ball been served. Kenzo receives it and y/n dumped it. Kenma's eyes widen. The boys clapping for that wonderful dumped.

"Woaahhhh!" Her teammates said.

Yamamoto with his shocked expression.

Kenma keeps quiet all throughout the game.

The team volleyball club won.

"I told you!" Y/n said while catching her breathe.

"At least we tried!" Kenji said and smile.

They went for the shade as the sun shining bright.

"Here!" Seiji said and give y/n a bottle of water.

Kenma saw that and unconsciously hold his water tight thinking that it should be him. He open the bottle and immediately drink but he got choke.

"Hey, kenma are you okay? Geez drink slowly!" Kuroo said.

Y/n's eyes look at him with a worried face.

"Hey!" Seiji said that made y/n look at him and Seiji wipe the sweats on her face.

"I-I can do this" y/n said and get the towel and wipe her sweats.

"Here's watermelon!!" Hiro said while holding a watermelon for them.

"Volleyball club Let's have a watermelon!" Kenji shouted and with that the volleyball club move closer to them.

Hiro and Takuya distribute the watermelon.

"Watermelon is the best for summer!" Yamamoto said while eating the watermelon.

"Oh we have a whole watermelon. Why don't we have a Suikawari (traditional Japanese game for watermelon splitting)?" Kenji said.

"That's sounds fun!" Kenzo said.

"So, who would join?" Kuroo asked.

All of them raised their hands except y/n, Seiji and kenma. They are busy eating their watermelon.

"Okay. With that. Y/n, Seiji and Kenma will play!" Kenji said smiling from ear to ear.

"Eh???" They said in sync.

"Okay let's have a rock paper scissors to decide the sequence!" Kuroo said.

"Okay all the player please move here!" Kuroo said while dragging Kenma. Seiji and y/n move at their direction.
