CHAPTER 29.5: Ambulance

"Y/n-chan?"

"Yes kuroo-san?" I asked him.

"What should we do for Kenma's birthday?" He asked me.

"I could bake a cake or something"

"Is that all? There's no thrill on it"

I looked at Kuroo-san and saw him smirking. From the look of it I think it's not the nicest idea he could ever have.

"K-kuroo-san?"

"Don't worry. I will handle it. I just need your cooperation. Okay?" He said as he touched my shoulder. I saw that aura before.

He told what his plan and together with my bandmates and his friends. I don't think I can do it.

"Nervous?" He asked me.

"Y-yeah. Who wouldn't? What if he gets angry? Or if he don't like?"

"Trust me" Kuroo-san said.

"Save me" I scream inside.

A week before his birthday. I start ignoring him as plan.

"Y/n" He called me whenever he saw me but I brushed it off and walk away. I saw his sad face.

THIRD PERSON'S POV

As y/n keeps avoiding kenma, he went to school without a single sleep. He look and look at his phone waiting for her reply but there's nothing. She didn't even read it.

"Y/n" Kenma called her. And y/n look back at her. With a teary eyes.

"I'm sorry. I have to go. I'm really busy right now" she said and walks away.

"Did I've done something wrong? Or something you don't like? Tell me" Kenma said as he stopped y/n from walking.

"You didn't" she said

"Then why? Why are you avoiding me to point like you don't want to see me" kenma asked.

Y/n walks away and suddenly Kuroo appears.

"What's wrong?" Kuroo asked him like he don't know anything.

"Nothing" Kenma said and walks away.

"I think, it's not a good idea he-he" Kuroo said as he saw the two walk away from each other. He scratched his head and look troubled.

"Kuroo what are doing?" Yaku asked.

"I've done something I shouldn't he-he" he said.

"By the way, are we you really going to make it?" Yaku asked.

"Of course. There's no turning back" Kuroi said with determination.

At the gym...

"Are you okay?" Fukunaga asked Kenma but he just nodded.

"Let's go" Kenma said with a sad tone in it.

They starts the practice and some of his sets are going over.

"Oy Kenma" Tora called him.

"I got it! Next" Kenma said and they could just stare at Kenma. He's angry.

"Don't mind. Don't mind" Kuroo said and they continue the game.

After the practice Kenma go went straight home. Tomorrow is his birthday but he don't feel it. Kenma's been thinking to spent his birthday with y/n but not anymore.

The next day...

Kenma receives sime greeting from his friends but none of it is y/n. The time passes by slowly. The blue skies turns orange but neither the shadow of y/n shown.

As he went out of the school. He saw y/n walking on his own. Suddenly a guy walks with her and place his arms on y/n's shoulder. He got angry and tailed them.

He speed up his walk so that he could catch them. It's the way on y/n's house. His heart beat suddenly starts raising. They got on the house. He mustered all the courage ro open the door. It's dark.

The lights suddenly appeared.

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" They all said in unison. He got surprised by it but just for a minute. He look at Kuroo with a deadly eyes. Suddenly y/n appears holding a cakw on her hand.

"Happy Birthday" she said and smiles.

"Thank you" Kenma said.

"Blow. Blow. Blow it" they all said. He blows it and finally they have time to talk.

"I'll excuse myself. I need to go to the bathroom" Kuroo said feeling nervous as Kenma's eyes looking at him.

"Kuroo" Kenma said firmly.

Kuroo immediately walks behind y/n and hide.

"Save me" Kuroo said.

"Here" Y/n said as she handed her gift.

"T-thank you" Kenma said. Kuroo suddenly run to the bathroom.

"I'm sorry about this pasr few days. I didn't mean to ignore you it's just kuroo-san's idea" y/n shyly explained. Kenma walks towards her. Y/n who looks troubled suddenly hugged by Kenma.

"Don't you ever do that" Kenma said. She nodded.

"I'm sorry" Y/n said.

"I'll forgive you. But I'll never forgive who got this idea" Kenma said as he glared at Kuroo who went back.

"That's enough. We are here to celebrate but Kuroo needs to be punished" Yaku said.

"Why?"

"It's your old idea anyways. You deserved it"

They all laughed. Y/n and Kenma who holds their hand as they celebrate his birthday.

Let's all wish Kuroo a safe trip home.
