Ep.13: That Night

Author's POV:

School the next day had been normal. It was just a Tuesday nothing good ever occurred on a Tuesday. It was a slow day waiting to be ended. That was until the night approached and the news channels began to broadcast it's latest story. Taehyung and Jimin had been together ever since both of their schools ended and they decided to hangout.

Jimin was switching through the channels until an emergency broadcast interrupted all the channels to inform the people of the latest news.

"Good evening ladies and gentleman. Hwasa here, giving you the latest news on what seems to be a Messy Massacre. Three victims looking to be around the ages of 19-20 were brutally murdered and decimated into pieces. There were several cuts and gallons of blood everywhere." Hwasa reports.

Jimin stares at the TV in shock and disbelief. "T-Tae. I think you should see this." Jimin stutters as he feels all the color drain from him. Taehyung didn't look any better as he looked like he had just seen a ghost. "M-my..." The younger stutters out. "What? Your what?" Jimin asks concernedly. "My father is dead. Pronounced dead this morning. It was something he drank." Taehyung answers, disbelief lacing his words.

"No way. I'm sorry, I know you two didn't leave each other on the right note. This must be hard on you." Jimin consoles as he hugs Taehyung and rubs his back. "I at least hoped his mindset would change before I got married. It would've been nice to have him smile at me and walk me down the aisle. But I guess his bad drinking habits caught up to him." Taehyung sighs, sitting down.

He looks at the TV which shows Minjae and his friends' pictures. Lining up with the murder scene. Taehyung looks at the TV in shock. "That was the boy who tried to ask me out!" Taehyung realizes. Jimin just sits quietly. He starts gathering his thoughts.

The more he thinks about it the more he starts to wonder why all of this is happening. Taehyung's doing the same thing but for different reasons as he is distraught from all the people who were involved in his life dying, no, being viciously killed. Although he hadn't known Minjae for very long and held resentment for his actions he still felt bad for him.

Jimin was deep in thought when suddenly he thought about something. He remembers that Jungkook was carrying a bag with him. It looked slightly heavy and looked like something was pointing out of it from the bottom. But he couldn't think too much of it because Jungkook had strangled him for silence. But the more he sits on it the more he starts to connect things.

'Junghyun was out the whole afternoon and night after he and Tae got out of school. He hadn't come back until almost Eleven O' Clock. His breath reeked of alcohol and he was carrying a bag with something sticking out of it.' He thinks to himself.

Jimin then gasps, breaking Tae out of his thoughts. "What?" Taehyung asks looking up to glance at his best friend. Jimin had to choose his words carefully so he didn't worry Tae. "Did you happen to tell anyone about what Minjae did to you? Did you also tell someone about the thing between you and your father?" Jimin asks.

Taehyung looks confused at his friend's sudden question. He then realizes something. "Oh yeah. Junghyun personally let me listen to a recording he took of them talking. That was when I also explained to him about my father." Taehyung recalls as he taps his chin in thought.

This was alarming to Jimin because it just proceeds to make his suspicions sound even more like the actual truth. He gets up fast as he puts on his shoes. "What happened? Why do you ask?" Taehyung asks, as he gets up and watches his friend move frantically. Jimin grabs Taehyung's hand and gestures to him to get his stuff on. "I don't think we can trust Junghyun! Truthfully I think something is wrong with him. We gotta get to that bar and ask if they saw him." Jimin yells.
