Ep.21: wanting

Taehyung waited for a whole two hours until Jungkook had returned home from wherever he had gone to. But in that time as he was waiting, it gave him a moment to think. To reflect on the things the older had just told him. All of the bad actions, the harming, the kidnapping, the clothing.

It was all because Jungkook was still there. He was still hanging onto the little kid in him, the little kid in him that was broken down to pieces and slowly reshaped and put back together again by Taehyung himself. It gave time for Taehyung to fully understand that the older was still tethered to their old lives, a life Taehyung can't even get a glimpse of. A life that seems shocking and unreal.

So in Taehyung's mind, he had very few options. He could either run away and call the cops or he could stay with the older forever. He knew the first option was risky, being as of how unstable Jungkook was already. Who knows what he would do if Taehyung, the person he cherishes and prizes the most, sold him out to the police. One thing Taehyung is for sure what an outcome would be is that Jungkook would resort to something more dangerous than kidnapping Taehyung. A lot more dangerous than kidnapping the younger.

"Taehyung?" The older calls out, his tone seems like he was calling for the younger a couple of times now. Taehyung hums as an answer. "Can you stand up please?" Jungkook asks, his voice was flat but still has some softness to it. Taehyung was confused and curious but nonetheless he complies to the older's orders.

He stands up and stretches. He watches as Jungkook comes towards him and pulls something out from his pocket.

It was the key.

Now Taehyung had two options. He could either grab the key, unlock himself out and run, or he could just stay put.

He chooses to stay put.

He watches how the older grabs his cuffed wrists gently. He puts the key into the keyhole and twists it open. Taehyung watches intently. He devises two more options for himself. He could either make a run for it after Jungkook releases him or he could just stay put.

Once again he stays put.

Jungkook slides his hand into Taehyung's and grips it tightly but not too tight so the younger doesn't feel uncomfortable. Taehyung takes not of this.

He's scared that I'll leave, but he's showing he's still caring.

Taehyung concludes in his mind. Jungkook leads Taehyung out of the basement and up the rickety floorboards of the stairs. He pushes open the door with one hand and leads Taehyung around the house.

There's a faint smell lurking in the house. Lurking on the walls. A faint smell of iron. But Taehyung pays no mind to it. He has no time to anyway as his brain processes that Jungkook is leading them up more stairs.

Jungkook finally stops going up the stairs and looks up to meet Taehyung's milk chocolate eyes. His own pair of ashen orbs, cold and distant, sends shivers down Taehyung's spine.

"Arms up." He instructs. Taehyung hesitantly follows through with the instructions but immediately put his arms down and tries to back away when Jungkook reaches for the hem of his shirt. But Jungkook caught his wrists before he could sprint off. Staying put was the unfortunate, only option he had left.

Jungkook frowns at this, his grip on Taehyung's wrists slightly tightening. His mind reverts back to how he had told the younger of his touching, how he nearly raped Taehyung out of negative emotions. Although Taehyung had every write to back away from Jungkook, it still made him upset.

"Don't worry." He lets his grip on the younger's wrist ease as he uses a calming tone with Taehyung. "I'm not trying to hurt you. I'm just trying to get your clothes off so you could bathe." Jungkook explains, his voice was quiet. It was soothing.
