Andy is taking (Y/N) on a drive to drink hot coco, look at Christmas lights and listen to Christmas music
Authors Note:
I'm taking these last few chapters in Christmas slow because it's literally my favorite holiday and my sister loves Christmas too! She writes Bee Gees fanfics too on here!
Andy's POV:
Since (Y/N)'s been overwhelmed with her new career, I decided to plan a date for us two tonight.
Something she's been talking about is going to drive around town and see Christmas lights. It's a cute idea. I thought it'd be nice to add hot coco even though California is usually warmer then most places at Christmas time.
She had a meeting with Herb this afternoon. I let her take a nap to rejuvenate.
While she was sleeping, I got a cookie container filled and made some hot coco so when she'd wake up, we could go soon. I put the hot coco in a thermos.
Shortly after, (Y/N) came down the stairs.
"Darling, what are you doing?" she asked sleepily.
"I wanted to surprise you with a date. Once you wake up love, were going to see Christmas lights and drink hot coco," I replied.
Her eyes lit up like a Christmas tree.
"Aw darling that's such a cute idea. I'll go freshen up," she said with a stretch.
In no time, she was ready and I grabbed the thermos and cookies and headed to the car.
"What made you think of this darling?" she asked me while buckling her seatbelt.
"It's something I know you've always wanted to do (Y/N). I can be full of surprises!" I told her kissing her hand.
"I really love you Andy and I can't believe how much love you give me. I'm so grateful for you," she said squeezing my hand a little.
"I love you a lot that's why I do what I do for you," I said returning the gentle reassuring squeeze.
I turned the radio on to a local Christmas station and put the car in reverse.
I pulled out of the drive way and started our drive.
"Oooh that house is pretty! That's like Christmas Vacation!" she said under her breathe.
I didn't have the slightest idea what she was talking about.
"Christmas Vacation? What is that?" I inquired.
"You know the movie with Chevy Chase?" she asked me puzzled.
"No?" I responded while keeping an eye on the road.
"Nevermind Andy," she said widening her eyes.
I don't know what that was about but I turned into Karen's parent's neighborhood. I was hoping Karen would be there.
The Carpenters always did a beautiful house for Christmas. This year it was no different.
Karen wasn't home so we didn't end up stopping but continued our drive.
"We have to get a palm tree for our front yard so we can hang lights on it next year," I told (Y/N) while sipping some hot coco.
"We should! It'd be so cute!" (Y/N) said taking a bite of a cookie.
I found a road that took you to the top of the city. This was something I don't think (Y/N) ever exprienced.
"Where are we going?" she asked puzzled.
"It's another surprise darling," I told her.
Just about this time was when I parked facing the city.
"Oh this is breathtaking," she mumbled.
"See this is why I said it was a surprise," I kissed her hand.
"You are too much sometimes Andy," she said giggling.
"Let's just enjoy each others company darling," I said putting my arm around her.
This Christmas would be my favorite out of all of them. The memories have only started.
