Tenten looked up as the door opened to her shop. She was surprised as the same man from a week ago walked in. She had only just opened the shop for the day. She smiled smugly as he walked towards the counter. She raised a finger to him before stepping in the back and grabbing the device he had ordered. She came back out and triumphantly thumped it on the countertop.
Reno threw his head back and laughed. He liked that. He then leaned in to look it over closely. He smiled as he seen she had produced it exactly to his specifications, even the extra details that would have been nice but were highly complicated.
"You win," he finally said. "I owe you an apology, Tenten, this is perfection. On behalf of all the male chauvinists in the world, no one should ever underestimate you."
Tenten smiled big at the words, "Thank you."
"I owe you dinner too," he finally said.
She scowled at him, "No you don't. I told you, I just wanted an apology."
Reno set his elbow on the counter and rested his chin on his knuckles. "Well maybe I want to just take you to dinner. How about that?"
"Dream on," she said.
"Huh," he responded. "Very well. Then how about you come out to my place tonight and I'll show you what I do with this?"
Tenten narrowed her eyes on him. On one hand, she was curious. On the other hand, she didn't trust him an inch. She recognized the looks he was giving her and his "lets have dinner" was as obvious as the sun in the sky.
"I don't think that's a good idea," she finally said.
Reno laughed then grabbed the pad on the counter. He wrote his address down and pushed it towards her. "In case you change your mind." He then leaned towards her with a smile, "By the way, I'll be outside so nothing funny in that. Suspicious female."
Tenten's mouth dropped open. The audacity! She then remembered he hadn't paid for the device yet. She smiled big at him as she decided to hit below the belt and give a rate that was substantially higher than it had cost her to make. He raised a brow at her before chuckling and pulling his wallet out. He slapped the amount on the counter.
"My name is Reno Klein by the way," he started to turn around. "My sister is Sarah Hatake, married to Kakashi Hatake the Lord Sixth. I promise you, you're more than safe to come skulking around my place if you change your mind."
Tenten stared at the door with an open mouth as he walked out as if he had not just dropped a bomb at her feet. If Sarah was his sister that meant... Holy Shit, he was from the other world. No wonder she had never seen him before. The age difference between him and Sarah was substantial. Was he lying about that? She narrowed her eyes, she could find out quick if he was lying and she knew exactly who to ask.
She swiped up the money on the counter and shoved it into her pocket. She then went to the door, flipped the closed sign - not that she expected any business that day any ways - and hurried down the street.
Misti was doing push ups with her little peanut in a baby carrier in front of her. She was using her fingertips, a trick Guy had taught her, to give a little extra distance for the mound in front of her. She had the most adorable baby to ever be born. He was a perfect cross between her and Guy and she loved watching him as she pushed up and down.
She had every intention on challenging Guy when he got back from his latest mission and she was going to be in top form for that challenge. Oh how she loved that crazy man. He made her laugh in ways that no one else ever had and his energy... She blushed a bit as she thought about how he had used that in the bedroom. She was one happy woman.
