••Ok, I know I'm skipping WAY ahead, but, just so you readers know, Alex has become GREAT friends with Shelby and Heather, and a little with Stacie. Stacie and Jason are dating every week now, and his family has invited Stacie to go to a ski resort with them for a week. Alex has made the high school's hockey team and is the team captain. Valentine's Day is coming up, and the whole school is getting excited. What will Alex do for the Valentine's dance that Friday? Well, read on!••I wake up half and hour early before my alarm. Looking at the time, it reads: 5:30 a.m. "Wait a minute! Didn't I set it for 6? Oh well, the early bird gets the worm," I say, tossing my covers off.
"Stacie, come on! Get up!" I shout, rushing through my clothes. There was no response. I turn around to see an empty bed. "Oh, I forgot she's at the ski resort. Oh well, I know she'll have fun!" I smile, thinking if her and Jason kissing in the hot tub. "Now dumping ice and water would be a funny sight to see!" I giggle. "Ok, why am I sounding so EVIL-like? Oh well," I tell myself, shrugging my shoulders, and return to rummaging through my clothes.
I grab my white fuzzy jacket with my white shirt next to it. I then grab a pair of dark blue skinny jeans and my long socks that go under my fuzzy, tan UGG boots.
I then head to the bathroom, then finish my makeup.
"There, now I just need to do my hair!" I exclaim. I got a hair trim so my hair was now 2 1/2 inches from my waist. I did a French braid from the top of my head and all the way down, finishing with a dark blue ribbon.
"Finally, I'm done." I then grab my back pack, a sweater, my phone, and a few other things.
I head downstairs and walk into the kitchen to see Colton awake.
"Well, you're bright an early," he says, turning to face me. "So are you," I respond back.
I plop right down next to him.
"So, I heard that there is a school dance this week for Valentine's? Are you going?" Colton asked. "No, no ones asked me yet," I reply. "What about Alex? He's a good kid." "Ya, he's good, but the girls are starting to take notice of him finally and are trying to make him like them."
"The life of a nut-job girl," Colton sighs. I punch him in the shoulder. "Not me!" I shout quietly. He laughs. "You're right, not you. But, there is a little of it in you, you just don't notice it yet," Colton explains. I raise one eyebrow.
Colton laughs again. "That works every time."
Colton and I talked for a long time, then it came for me to go.
"Well, it was nice talking with you, Colton. But I best be on my way now," I say, grabbing my stuff.
"Alright sis, see you when you get home!" he hollers to me as I open the door.
Closing the big door behind me, I shiver when I feel the winter air absorb me. "Well, right now I bet I look like a girl that walks to her car like a stiffed up zombie that can HARDLY move!" I talk to myself, literally unable to move.
Arriving at my dad's Toyota pick up truck, I open the doors and turn it on, blasting hot air to me. I close the door and just sit there. As I start backing out of the driveway, I then talk to myself.
"Ok, why does he even PARK out here? I mean, it's like bellow freezing out here!" I whine, looking outside to see snow all around me. "Ok, now I'm starting to sound like Stacie."
I arrive at the church for seminary on Thursday, February 13th.
I quickly turn off the car, grab my stuff, and bolt inside.
