When Jieun told Shotaro that she was meeting a large group of Phoenixes, he had asked her if she wanted backup.
Jieun had kindly rejected but as she saw the amount of motorcycles and people wearing leather jackets outside, she felt nervous.
This is bad, Jieun thought to herself. How are you going to take them down if this makes you nervous?
Renjun had given her a quick crash course on his friends but she already knew most of what he said from Xiaojun and her own research.
"Oof, looks like you'll be busy tonight." Doyoung joked and Jieun couldn't help but roll her eyes, adjusting her apron.
"As if you don't already have their orders already prepared." Jieun replied, referring the plates sitting behind her.
"You can finally meet my son." Doyoung said as he waved to the group as they entered, politely greeting them before settling down.
Jieun quickly brought their food over, much to their surprise. She felt Jeno's eyes scan her and hoped he didn't recognize her.
She realized that they were on the food and Jieun felt relieved, standing up straight.
"I can't believe you had this all prepared." Ayeon exclaimed.
"I'm offended that you're doubting my abilities." Doyoung said as Jieun stepped back, placing more plates down. "Of course I would have this prepared."
While Jieun and Doyoung gave the group their food, she took the time to match faces to the names and bios that she had.
She already knew Haechan and Ayeon, and recognized Jeno. Jieun assumed the girl sitting beside him was Soojung, Jeno's girlfriend. According to Renjun, Soojung was probably the best person out of all of them, her only flaw being that she was in love with a Phoenix.
There were two males that seemed to be attached at the hip, continuously joking around, seeming to be in their own world. Occaisionally, one would make fun of Renjun which is how she recognized Chenle, and his tall best friend being Jisung.
Mark was a little quiet, sitting between Haechan and Chenle. Chenle seemed to be really fond of him though, occaisionally asking Mark a few questions while Haechan seemed to have a duty of annoying him.
Jieun then noticed one of them seemed to be ignoring her presence, which she assumed to be Jaemin. Renjun said that Jaemin was a tough person to break, used to putting up walls around him when it came to new people. His girlfriend, Zhilan, was talkative and outgoing, but could be just as stubborn as Jaemin. Jieun also recognized Zhilan from Xiaojun, and was shocked to hear that she was Renjun's childhood friend.
"Is it alright if Jieun joins us?" Renjun asked and Jieun watched as Jaemin's head immediately turned towards her, as if he was inspecting her. She couldn't help but gulp, Jaemin's glare being a lot more intimidating than she had expected.
I mean, he was the one that beat Xiaojun up, Jieun thought as Jeno nodded his head, giving Jieun a small smile.
Jieun noticed that Jeno no longer had his cross tattoo and seemed quite happy and pleasant, the complete opposite of what she had expected.
He's changed, Jieun thought, staring at the younger brother of the leader of the Phoenixes. Is it because of Soojung?
"You kids enjoy yourselves, I'm going to do some inventory. If you need anything, let Jieun know and she can help you." Doyoung said, giving Jieun a wink before walking off.
Jieun felt nervous as Renjun introduced her to the group, each person waving as he called out their name. Jieun could only give them a small smile back, feeling terribly out of place.
