Where are you?

Renjun rode around on his motorcycle, speeding down various roads as he tried to find Jieun. Nothing seemed to be useful though, as there was no sight of the girl.

"Come on, Kim Jieun." Renjun mumbled to himself as he took a deep breath, turning onto another street.

"Where could you possibly be?"

...

The man was definitely stronger than her, about Sungchan's height and just as muscular. Jieun saw the blade shining in his hand, and knew that even with her knife, she would be no match for her.

"I've seen you with the Phoenixes but I've also seen you without them." The man annouced. Jieun tried not to wince as his terrible breath hit her like a wall. He gave her a big smile, showing off his yellow teeth.

Gross.

"You seem to mean a lot to one of them." The man said, taking a step forward. Jieun instantly stepped back but knew that it was no use. If he wanted, he could easily attack her. "That means you're of interest of me."

"I mean nothing to them." Jieun told him but when her voice came out shaky, she knew she was screwed.

"Hm, doesn't seem like it." The man snickered. "Oh, how much fun we'll have once I get my hands on you."

Jieun gritted her teeth, clenching her fists. "You won't."

Her words had no effect though, the eyes of the man darkening.

"Oh we'll see about that."

Jieun dodged the man's first attack, ducking underneath. She narrowly missed the knife though, judging by the way the man was handling it, it was clear that he wasn't afraid of hurting her with it.

I need to get rid of it, Jieun thought, changing her plan of attack.

When the man lurched at her again, she moved away and kicked the back of his knees, making him bend down. She kneed his back before stepping onto his arm, forcing the hand with his knife to the ground.

"A fighter, not bad." The man snickered and Jieun dug her heel into his arm, making him scream in pain. "But not strong enough."

Let. Go.

Jieun gritted her teeth as she hoped that she could break a bone as she decided to use both feet to step on the man's arm. She soon regretted it.

The second her other foot left the ground, the man use his strength to move his arm, making Jieun lose her balance. She ended up stumbling back and one shove from the man sent her to the ground.

Jieun couldn't help but quiver in fear as the man stood up, advancing towards her. She immediately moved back on her hands and feet, but the man was moving faster.

"Hey! You want me, don't you?" A voice called out, making the man stop.

Renjun?!

Jieun's eyes widened in shock as she heard Renjun's voice and had a bad feeling as the man smirked before turning around.

"No!"

Jieun's scream must have surprised the man as he freezed for a second but Renjun used this to his advantage as he used his spraypaint to spray the man in the face.

"Ah, what the heck?" The man exclaimed, stumbling back as the paint blinded him. Renjun took the chance to kick the man where it hurts, shocking Jieun.

"Place one little finger on her and I will kill you." Renjun warned as the man landed on his back, groning in pain. Rejun gave him a few more harsh kicks, the man grunting in pain each time, eventually letting go of the knife.

As the knife landed at Jieun's feet, and she didn't even hesitate to pick it up, folding it up and placing it in her pocket.

Jieun looked over and saw that Renjun was finishing up spray painting a Phoenix beside the man who was still rolling around in pain. He let out a deep breath before meeting her eyes. "Are you alright?"

Jieun nodded, thankful that Renjun had arrived in time but the fact that the man wasn't passed out did not settle well with her.

"Good, let's hurry up and get out of here before he gets up then." Renjun said, taking her hand before the two of them ran down the streets of Neo City.

...

Renjun had brought Jieun home, the two of them getting as far away from the man as possible. As Jieun stood there in front of her building, she felt like she couldn't leave like that.

Renjun must have noticed as he took off his helmet, staring at her. "You're not going up?"

"I'm sorry." Jieun said quietly, speaking the first words on her mind. "I shouldn't have said what I said."

"It's fine, Jieun." Renjun said, the corners of his lips lifting ever so slightly. "You just said what was on your mind."

"I lashed out." Jieun continued. "And hurt your friends. You saved my life, Renjun. I don't deserve you."

"Don't say that." Renjun said, stepping off his bike. Jieun could only look down at the ground, feeling terrible in every way possible.

"It's true though. You've done so much for me yet I've done nothing." Jieun mumbled but Renjun heard it all.

"It's not true, Jieun." Renjun said and Jieun felt him move towards her, using his hand to lift her chin to meet his eyes. "You've done so much for me too, don't ever think otherwise."

Jieun felt like time had stopped as Renjun cupped her face in his hands, shrinking the space between them.

"What you said only reminded me that there are things that you don't know about me and the gang but there is also so much that I don't know about you. To me, that's not a bad thing. That just means that I should take the time to put more effort to get to know you better, do you know why Jieun?"

"Why?" Jieun asked, her voice barely coming out of her mouth.

"Because I like you, Jieun. I like you so much, I can't stop thinking about you. You're all I ever wanted and I'm so mad that I'm in a gang and that's what's stopping us from being together."

"I want to be with you, Jieun, I want to spend more moments with you. I finally understand how my friends feel about their significant others because that's because that's how I feel when I'm with you. You changed everything for me, because with you, I don't feel like I'm a number two or someone that stays on the sideline."

"Renjun." Jieun whispered as she felt the tears begin to well in her eyes, unsure if she should be happy or not.

"So be honest with me, Kim Jieun." Renjun said and Jieun could tell he was nervous as his eyes began to shake, even though they were looking straight into hers. "And tell me, do you want to be with me too?"

Jieun couldn't help but let her heart answer, leaving any negative thoughts in her brain behind as she got lost in Renjun's beautiful eyes.

"I do, I do want to be with you, Huang Renjun." Jieun told him, lifting her hands to hold Renjun's face between them.

"And that's because I feel the exact same way about you."
