"Come here." Renjun said, lifting the blanket for Jieun to slide in. Jieun nodded, going to her boyfriend's side.
Jieun could only hold him as he cried into her shoulder, still broken from his sister's death.
As Jieun lied there, staring at Renjun's ceiling, she suddenly felt like her world had calmed down.
It's over. It's all over.
...
"We got this, don't worry." Shotaro said, giving Jieun a light nudge. "You won't ever see their faces ever again."
"I better not." Jieun mumbled as she shoved her hands in her jacket, watching as Yuta and the other Tokoyo Phoenixes shoved the men into the plane.
The Tokoyo Phoenixes must be wealthy, Jieun thought as she watched them. Wealthy enough to have a private plane.
The Kangs had figured out that they had lost when Taeyong informed them of Seolhee's death and decided to shoot one another. It was unfortunate, but at least they were gone and no longer threatening the Phoenixes.
For the others, Taeyong didn't want to kill them but didn't know what to do with them either. Luckily, the Tokoyo Phoenixes had a place for them where they could go and spend their days meditating, preventing them from causing trouble again.
Jieun felt bad as she caught sigh of Yangyang, one of the few that were kind from. Her feelings soon changed as Xiaojun took his place, glaring at Jieun before getting shoved into the plane.
"I should probably get going." Shotaro said, adjusting his jacket as Yuta waved him over. "Call me if you need anything."
"I will." Jieun said, opening her arms. "Thanks for always listening to me."
"Anytime, Jieun." Shotaro said, smiling as they exchanged hugs.
Jieun watched as Shotaro stepped towards the plane before turning around, a wide grin on his face.
"Before I go though, congratulations on joining the family." Shotaro called out, referring to the new leather jacket Jieun was wearing.
...
"Good morning, Taeil-hyung." Renjun said as Taeil opened the door, politely greeting the elder.
"Good morning, Renjun." Taeil said, widening the door for him. "Winwin's in their room."
"Thanks." Renjun said, giving Taeil a small smile before heading into the trailer.
Despite how collected Taeil seemed to be, Renjun knew that Taeil was hurting a lot on the inside. Taeil probably felt the same as Renjun though, feeling like they couldn't cry if Winwin wasn't.
Renjun knocked before entering, Winwin sitting on the bed, flipping through a photo album. It looked like he hadn't slept nor eaten properly in days, remainders of whatever Taeil had cooked for him on the table beside the bed.
"You didn't have to come, I'm fine." Winwin said as he flipped the page. Renjun made his way to the bed, sitting down beside him.
The photo album contained many pictures, some that Renjun was in. They told a story, a story known as the love between Huang Jiayi and Dong Sicheng, making it obvious that this wasn't a regular photo album.
"When did you two decide to get married?" Renjun asked, making Winwin look up.
"It was Jiayi's decision." Winwin told him. "I think the fact that Taeyong was nervous got to her, so she brought it up one day."
"And you went along with it? I thought you weren't ready." Renjun said, wanting to know how he had suddenly gained a brother.
"Well your sister is very convincing." Winwin said before correcting himself. "She was. She was very convincing."
