Broken

She's broken, you just don't realize it

Look close and behind the façade you'll find it

The tears long suppressed

The smiles tinged with sadness

The hand waiting to be pecked

The cheeks longing for a soft caress

Listen closely and you will hear

The sighs wrought from utter despair

And sobs that have the power to tear

Souls, along with hearts, beyond repair

Close you eyes and ears

And try to feel

Just wait a few moments dear

Ah! There's the shattered girl behind the veil

The veil which hides the real her

Waiting for someone to finally dicover

The walls she's been hiding behind

Walls to which so many have been blind

And take them down slowly

Painstakingly, gradually

Then help her collect all the pieces

Of her broken heart and life

Join them carefully, so the pain ceases

And the veins disappear of misery and strife.

Fix her slowle, gently, caringly

And then kiss her head lovingly

Faux love is easy to find

But what she needs is just a friend

Who may become more as time passes

But right now, she just needs someone to gift her rose tinted glasses.
