To The Ones Who Help
Not wanting anything in return,
The lamp of goodness you burn and burn.
Sometimes there are hurdles in your path,
You may cry then, or take a warm, soothing bath.
But there are some good times too,
When your heart and soul smiles;
After bringing colours to the blue,
Of someone's life's troubles and trials.
You forget all the times you were frustrated,
Anxious, nervous, irritated.
And focus on the grateful tears,
Received after toils of months and years.
Its what you receive in return,
Without asking for anything from anyone;
That makes everything alright,
And your smile's a bit more bright.
And with renewed vigour you,
Help someone else with a smile anew.
