Zoe met her halfway to the emergency room Hugh has been admitted. Zoe wiped her tears as she approach, she didn't want her to suspect anything but she will definitely know the truth.
"What happened to Audrey?" Jasmine asked.
"Uhm she uhm she." Zoe stuttered.
"She what? Is she okay?" She asked.
"You will see when we get there." Zoe said.
When they got to the waiting room, Jasmine sighted Audrey and heaved a relief sigh.
"Did you guys bring me here just to prank me or what?" Jasmine questioned.
"And wait, where is Hugh, did he leave?" She asked again..
"Uhm Jasmine you should come down, Hugh is fine." Zoe said.
"So what are we doing here, where is he?" She asked impatiently.
"He...." Audrey tried to speak but they were interrupted by the doctor who walked out of the ward Hugh has been admitted.
"Doctor how is he?" The ladies chorused, and of course except Jasmine who was completely has no tiniest bit of idea what was going on.
"I am sorry to say this but he is getting worse, he is still in coma, his injury is serious and we are trying to get him under control but we can't promise anything now, his case is complicated. Even if he survive this, he might not be able to walk and his face will need a surgery." The doctor said.
Jasmine was beginning to understand the whole thing, no the 'he' can't be her Hugh, no it's can't. Her dream didn't just happen to him.
"You should call his parents, they need to come and sign some papers." The doctor said again.
"Whom are you talking about and what happened to him?" Jasmine asked.
"What are you talking about? I thought you ladies said you were going to inform his girlfriend." The doctor said. Reality hit her so badly. She almost lost her balance.
"No please Audrey tell me you were not talking about my Hugh, please say it's not him." She cried.
"Who is this lady?" The doctor asked.
"His girlfriend." Zoe said.
"Nooooo!" Jasmine screamed in pain.
"No he is not my boyfriend, my boyfriend left my place about an hour ago and he was damn fine. Whoever you have in there is not him." She shouted.
"Young lady keep your voice down you are in the hospital." The doctor said.
"Damn you! Don't fucking tell me to keep my voice down, Damn you to hell." She cried hitting the doctor on his chest, he felt sorry for her, he is a doctor and he knows how situations like this affects the victim's family. She let go of the doctors shirt and turned to her friends.
"No no no no no please tell me Hugh is not in there, please Zoe please Audrey, please you guys should tell me the person in there is not my Hugh, please." She cried to her friends who couldn't control their tears either.
"Please Jasmine, I wish it was not him, I wish he didn't drive that way hours ago, I wish he.." Zoe cried, her tears choked her.
"Nooo no it's not him." Jasmine shouted, she was losing it.
