TW: Graphic deaths.

Wei Wuxian cleared his throat, stammering inconsistently "K-K-Kissed?" he dryly chuckled, though, because of nervousness, his voice chimed slightly higher than before "Who would I k-k-kiss? I've been with Lan Wangji all this time!" The hand which was roughly pulling on Wei Wuxian's hair was now awkwardly twirling its finger around a strand; like a girl shying away from an uncomfortable situation.
There was a crinkle of suspicion on Jiang Cheng's forehead, "Why are you so on edge? Did something happen between you two?"
No matter how much effort Wei Wuxian put in trying to vindicate the improper act, there was none. The more he tried to wrap his head around the kiss, the more light-headed he felt. His brain somersaulted a dozen times, the last brain cells roughly smashed themselves into his cranium, refusing to justify the unjustifiable.
So Wei Wuxian was left there 'hee-hawing' like a donkey.
"It's... we... him... me..." the blood soon rushed to his face and Wei Wuxian's cheeks slightly flushed. It was the first time Wei Wuxian felt extreme embarrassment, shyness, and at a loss for words. If he could, right at this moment, Wei Wuxian would dig himself a grave and bury all of his self-loathing together with his body. He would also add a big chunk of dung like it was a cherry on top. That is what his life was worth.
"We... him...me?" Jiang Cheng repeated, beckoning Wei Wuxian to continue his muddled-up speech.
Just at this moment, Wei Wuxian recalled the reason he was there. His eyes glimmered, inwardly thanking the gods for helping him escape from the uncomfortable situation, and somberly spoke, "It doesn't matter. Nothing happened. No time to talk about private matters, so let's go to the case. The victims?"
Jiang Cheng's wrinkled features twisted even more - his eyebrows almost becoming a single unibrow. He set an elbow against the edge of the door, lightly tapped with his two fingers, and instructed, "Follow me."
While both of them kept walking, Wei Wuxian continued, "You said there were two victims?"
Jiang Cheng nodded, "A male and a female."
"Just to be clear, from Beijing Xicheng Foreign Language School?"
Jiang Cheng probed, "Why would you guess that?"
"Lissa Peck, as well as Li Wei, were both directors killed in different circumstances. The only thing connecting them is the school. It just can't be a coincidence."
Jiang Cheng's features were always more subtle; paler from the outside yet ruddy from the inside. Due to the hectic schedule of the detective's life, he always seemed to be more of a zombie than an actual human being. When he opened his mouth, profanities would slip out of his mouth like a leak from a splintered bucket. Who would have thought that the already pale features could become even paler, yet the foul mouth could become even fouler, "What the actual fuck, Wei Ying! Another victim and you dare to announce it now? It's not three victims in total, it makes it fucking four! And the second victim is that douchebag of a director!"
Wei Wuxian was left there speechless for a minute and was finally able to lament, "What are you angry at me for?"
"I am not angry at you, for fuck's sake. It just makes no fucking sense!" Jiang Cheng retorted.
"What doesn't?"
Jiang Cheng vigorously shook his head, "You should see for yourself."
Just then, Wei Wuxian and Jiang Cheng reached the main entrance leading to the abandoned warehouse, "Is this the place?" questioned Wei Wuxian.
