Wei Wuxian wearily managed to reach his bed and ruthlessly slumped down on it, the bed faintly creaking. He lifted his legs in the air and lazily grabbed on both of the socks, swiftly pulling them off of his feet. He managed to take off his pants and shirt while grunting and squirming on top of the old bed.
The apartment Wei Wuxian managed to get with much effort, wasn't in great condition. It was almost a run-down place. The ceilings had holes in them, the ground was covered with rubbish which covered mostly all the space. The wallpapers of the place were ripped apart and barely holding on. The place seemed more of a dust hole than an actual person living there. Due to the lack of loving hands, this apartment so needed, small insects decided to make it their loving home as well.
Wei Wuxian didn't mind it. He barely had the time to come back home and clean this place. Most of the time he would sleep in his department as his job required many sleepless nights and different cases to solve on top of another.
He clumsily pulled the only blanket he had and covered his tired body.
Wei Wuxian put his arms behind his head and laid it on the formed triangle, using the hands as a pillow. Nighttime was his favorite time of the day to put the scattered puzzle pieces together, so he started contemplating the available information they manage to gather.
"High school teacher and a director at that, definitely competent," he scratched his nose bridge, "Unfriendly and makes her coworkers overwork themselves - egocentric." Wei Wuxian slowly memorized what was told about the victim, internally bending down his fingers.
He sat back, crossed his legs over, and grabbed his mobile phone from his pocket. When Wei Wuxian opened his gallery and pressed on the taken pictures from the crime scene he furrowed his eyebrows. He pushed the screen closer to his eye-sight.
"Wait... I think I've seen these symbols before...But where?"
He threw his phone and crooked his body back to rest on the solid surface. The next second his eyelids gently closed and Wei Wuxian drifted into a deep slumber.
"Someone, please help me! Please!"
Wei Wuxian flinched, but the moment he opened his eyes, darkness surrounded him. He turned around, trying to scrutinize the environment he was in, but the only thing he could see was his weirdly shaped shadow. Weird, I think I heard someone scream, he thought.
