"I am..." Wei Ying's voice trailed off as soon as his vision focused on the sight across him. An inviting shiver ran down Wei Ying's spine, as a pair of scarlet eyes ravished his appearance from head to toes. They gleamed brightly in the dull bedroom and only occasionally blinked as if afraid that Wei Ying would disappear the next moment they would open.

The dawn's first rays that infiltrated through the partly closed curtains, lit up the silhouette in front of him allowing Wei Wuxian a better vision of the man in front of him.

Clear, as white as snow complexion. Cat-shaped eyes. The bewitching, piercing gaze, and those sharp canine teeth that barely revealed themselves out of the upper lip.

Vampire, Wei Ying's internal voice supplied in a jittery tone.

Subconsciously, Wei Ying's eyes lingered on Lan Wangji's lips. They were slightly swollen and a brighter shade of pink compared to the rest of Lan Wangji's skin color. Even Lan Zhan's shuddering yet subdued breaths, which echoed softly in the cramped space, messed with Wei Ying's brain.

Lan Wangji's expressive crimson eyes altered from red to yellow. The pupils constricted and widened to the extent that white sclerae surrounded the bloody irises. A dazed expression dominated Lan Wangji's features bright with desire.

In a split second, Wei Ying's body heated up. He could feel how all the blood started to swiftly accumulate into one particular body part he wished at that moment not to be functional. His body tensed up and he could feel his nerves twitching, sending shivers down his spine.

A soft groan slipped out from Wei Ying's mouth when the fabric of his jeans started restricting him.

"For fucks sake, you scumbag. We are dealing with a serial psychopath and you are gone for two days to indulge in your sexual desires." repulsively stated Jiang Cheng.

Wei Wuxian loudly coughed when his trance had been broken by Jiang Cheng's unexpected words, "Two days?"

"Have you been fucking drinking? Can't tell what time of day it is anymore?"

"What do you mean two days? It's only been a day since we left." dumbfoundedly stated Wei Wuxian.

"Did you hit your head?" worriedly queried Jiang Cheng, "I couldn't reach you for the whole day yesterday."

Wei Wuxian glimpsed at Lan Wangji, and a modest smile curved his features revealing small, fair dimples that crinkled out delicately.

"Listen..." Wei Wuxian scratched the back of his head, " We have been on the road for the last few days looking for clues and I probably hit my head... on the rear seat window a few times too hard. On top of that with no sleep." he playfully whined, "And my battery died, don't be mad, Cheng!"

Jiang Cheng disapprovingly scoffed but the next second he spoke gravely, " There has been another murder last night."

Wei Wuxian instantaneously tensed up. His body aligned causing his hunched posture to disappear and hurriedly asked, "Where?"

"Suining's abandoned warehouse."

"Victim?" questioned Wei Wuxian before he quickly leaped off of the bed and threw on the lone shirt he could find over his head.

"Two victims. You need to see for yourself." revoltingly explained Jiang Cheng.

Wei Wuxian abruptly ended the call whilst his gaze fell upon Lan Wangji, "You heard everything, let's go." Wei Wuxian demanded.

Just before Wei Ying could go out through the door, Lan Zhan gently gripped Wei Ying's sleeve. Once again, electricity-like shivers traveled through Wei Ying's body, almost making him weak at the knees.
