I got fed up not getting any texts from Reki, so I called him myself.
"Hey!"
"Hey, Yuri. What's up? "
"I was calling to ask what's up with you, actually. I was just watching some anime."
"Aren't you going to S too? "
I scoffed, "Are you kidding? And miss the new episode of Jujutsu Kaisen? The fight scenes are way too good to go watch a bunch of fools fall on their asses trying to show off at S."
He laughed lightly, but it wasn't like his old laugh, "I'm not going either."
"Too tired?"
"Yeah."
I frowned, knowing the real reason. I thought about mentioning it, about pushing, but the moment didn't seem right. Besides, he could just hang up on me if he didn't want to talk - and that would be totally lame.
"Anyways, once I finish the episode, wanna hang out?"
"Huh? Why? "
"Well, we're the only one's not going to S tonight. Let's spend some time together! Well- I guess, if you're tired that would be contradictory... but, if you're up for it, we could watch a movie or something at your place. Or mine. Or... you know."
He hummed, "Text me when you're done with your show. I'll see if I'm up for it then."
I grinned, "Yeah, for sure! M'kay, see you!"
"Bye."
I hung up, and lowered my phone, turning to glance at my computer. I clicked play on the show and tried to ignore how sad he sounded, and the thought of how he might not even reply to my text later.
He didn't. But... maybe he just fell asleep.

Sike! I'm not that type of girl.
Wow, Reki. I thought, that random ramp right outside that window totally isn't obvious at all.
I pitched another rock, from the collection of pebbles I just made digging through the bushes around his house. I paused as I went to throw the next one.
Hopefully I don't wake up his mom.
Oh well! I wasn't gonna let Reki feel alone.
I threw the next rock, and the blinds finally moved, Reki opened the window and I kicked off the ground. I pounded up the ramp and threw myself through his window and on his bed, but my momentum wasn't enough to get my whole body through safely and my summer sault plan sort of failed, so my shins smacked off the border of the window.
I curled in on his bed as he gasped and cursed in shock, as I withered with my hands over my mouth to prevent me from yelling in pain.
I'm definitely gonna get bruised up.
"Are you crazy?! Are you okay?!" Reki whisper yelled.
I took a deep breath and turned around, holding out my hands as I grinned, "Surprise!"
He dead panned, falling back on his bed as he held back a groan. I sat up properly and ignored my throbbing legs, smiling at him as he glared at me.
"I swear my heart almost fell out of my mouth. You scared the fucking shit out of me."
I held in my laugh, my shoulders shaking, "Really? That's so funny, I wish I saw your face."
"It's not funny!" He breathed.
