Camila's POV

I step into the clearing as my eyes look down at my unconscious friends on the floor.

"Ah, hello again, love," Chris smiles, swinging his bat.

"How did you knock them all out?" I question.

"Why with this bat. I'm a great ambusher," Chris says.

My eyes look over at a white van knowing Lauren is hidden behind it.

"Where's your wife? I was hoping to see the newlyweds together once more," Chris looks around then back at me.

"You want me. Leave Lauren alone," I said.

"You see I would but she messed with my family so I won't leave her alone. I may even kill you in front of her then end her right after. Wouldn't want her to suffer anymore, right?" Chris raises an eyebrow.

"Why Liam? I'm the one that shot Hemsworth at the bar. Shoot me!" I yell.

"As much as I would love that. I'll rather see you suffer," Chris walks closer to me. He reaches back and smiles. "You don't have your gun, huh?" He asks.

"Don't touch me," I grab his hand and throw it, "It broke when Lauren threw it after missing her shot at you."

"Oh, I've never felt so relieved," Chris touches his chest directly above his heart.

My eyes look over his shoulder to see Lauren starting to cut the rope binding Liam to the pillar.

"If I had that gun you would have been dead by now," I flick my eyes back to Chris.

"Do you think I'm stupid?" Chris questions.

My heart races as I speak, "What do you mean?"

Chris pulls out a gun and turns around shooting it. Liam ducks once his hands were freed as the bullet hits the pillar where his head was.

I throw him a punch but Chris turns around immediately as he grabs my wrist and puts me in a chokehold. "Well, hello, Lieutenant!" Chris presses the gun against my temple.

Lauren steps out from behind the pillar, knife in hand. "How many times do I have to free your prisoners?" Lauren speaks.

"How many times does one of us have to hold a gun up to any of your friend's heads?" Chris speaks.

I throw my head back, hitting him on his nose as I elbow his gut.

Chris ducks under my next blow aiming at his head but lets out a cry of pain as I look over to see that Lauren stabbed his shoulder. With the last of his strength, Chris smacks me with the gun handle causing me to get knocked down on the floor as blood trickles down from my temple.

"Camila!" Lauren rushes over to me.

A couple of feet away, Chris takes the knife out and puts a hand over the wound as he enters a car and drives away, escaping once again.

"I'm fine," I whisper.

"Are you sure?" Lauren checks my wound.

"Yes. Check on the others," I lay my head down on the floor.

"Okay," Lauren nods.

Lauren's POV

"Ally..." I whisper as I slowly pat her cheek.

I've already woken up everybody else as they are slowly starting to get up on their feet.

Ally's eyes slowly open as she looks around. "What happened?" She mumbles.

"That's a long story to tell," I whisper as I help her up.

"Can someone tell me what's going on? I was in the middle of a deal then I knocked out and woke up right after tied up to a pillar with Chris swinging a bat in front of me," Liam speaks.

"He was coming for you to shoot you then kill you," I explain.

"Why?" Liam questions.

"He's torturing Camila. Chris already went after Gerald," I said.

"He caused the fires, causing Dinah to be sent to the hospital as well caused the deaths of my father and Justin's," Camila speaks. The bleeding has stopped but a bloodstain runs down the side of her head.

"Speaking of Justin we need to get him next," I said.

"Why him next?" Liam asks.

"We're nearing our journey back to Chicago and the police officer won't be able to do anything without his order and we need his guidance especially after what happened to his father," I explain.

"Do you think Justin is in the right state of mind to lead the entire police force after his father's death?" Camila asks.

"If you're after justice then he will be too. Justin just needs a push," I said.

"Do you all have warm clothes?" Camila looks at everybody as they just nod slowly.

"Good because Canada is waiting for us," I said.
