2 days later...

Gerald's POV

I grip my messy hair as tears flow down my cheeks. My dad... He's gone. I don't know what happened with the others but after hearing my house got burned with my dad in it I immediately fled Chicago. I send Camila a handwritten message before I left Chicago since I lost my phone during the fire. I know that person is out there and if I figure out who it is, I will get my revenge.

Camila's POV

I giggle as I kiss Lauren's lips lovingly, one of my hands wrapped around her neck and the other resting on her chest.

"I can't wait to return to Chicago tomorrow, I want to see my dad and brother," I said once I pulled away from her.

"I want to see our families too," Lauren says.

The sun starts to set and we walk back to the hotel hand in hand and up to our hotel room. Lauren takes out the key and unlocks the door, opening it. She walks in and I stop as I look down.

I bend down and grab the envelope, closing the door behind me.

"What's that?" Lauren asks as she sets the keys down on the nightstand

"I don't know. Should I open it?" I look up at her.

"Go ahead," She sits down on the bed, patting the spot next to her.

I sit down beside her, a teasing smile on my lips, "You're not going to get protective?"

Lauren wraps her arms around me pulling me flushing against her side. "I'm right here," She says.

I slowly open the envelope and take out the note inside. I unfold the piece of paper to reveal the writing. "Wait this is my brother's handwriting," I said.

"What does it say?" Lauren rests her chin on my shoulder.

"I don't know let's see..." I clear my throat.

I had to send this to you as soon as possible. I don't want to ruin your honeymoon baby sister but I have to tell you.

You see... Two nights ago, no one knows how, but Pink 390... The Chicago Police Department... The Mongols MC biker joint... And our home got burned down.

We all made it out in the biker joint and all of Lauren's buddies in the police made it out and thankfully Normani wasn't in Pink 390 when it got burned into flames. Well Dinah got injured and is currently in the hospital. Justin's father didn't make it out.

As of our father... He... He didn't make it out alive either.

I'm leaving Chicago, Camila, I can't take this pain and it's probably not safe for me to be in Chicago right now.

As for the others... I don't know where they are but Dinah is in the hospital in Chicago.

I love you so much, baby sister...

A tear drops on the paper making the ink of the pen get smudged.

Lauren takes the letter away from me and sets it on the bed. She takes my hands in hers and kneels in front of me. "I'm not going to say it's going to be okay because I know it won't be. But I'll be by your side this entire time. I love you, I'll help you get through this," She says.

"Th... Thank you," I swallow the lump in my throat.

"We'll be in Chicago by tomorrow," Lauren cups my face wiping the fresh tears away.

I stare up at the ceiling causing Lauren's hands to slide down to my neck. "Papito..." I whisper, "I'm sorry I wasn't there to protect you but I promise you I will bring justice. I know you're in a peaceful place, I love you so much papito."

Lauren brings my head down and plants a soft kiss on my forehead making me sigh.
