I've known from the start that Ludwig's role in this whole story is more important than Nicolae lets on. And if he's hiding it from me it must be for a good reason. It's up to me to discover what.

> Why won't you tell me what happened to Ludwig?

I think back to Nicolae's fiancée and the dream that led me to that coffin where I was lying, dead. Something immediately comes to mind...

> Was Ludwig at your fiancée's funeral?

Nicolae > Why do you ask?

> It's important, I know it. He really liked your fiancée, I felt it in my dreams, and she did too.

Nicolae > No, he wasn't....

> Are you sure?

Ludwig liked Lana too much to not be present that day. I'm sure he loved her just as much as his rival did.

Nicolae > Yes, I'm sure... And that's one of the reasons why I always thought it was him, the culprit.

> Ludwig? No, it's impossible...

I feel a strange pain as if my true-self had gotten attached to the Ludwig of the past, without ever getting to know him.

Nicolae > Impossible? Why would he disappear then? He should have been there, that sad day! Yet I never heard of him again...

I feel all of Nicolae's distress at this very moment. Nevertheless, I have a lot of trouble believing that Ludwig is guilty...

We're just about to head back to the manor when I see Sarah a little further away. She's running towards us.

> I'll be with you in a minute, I'll just say goodbye to my friend.

Without even waiting for Nicolae's answer, I walk up to Sarah, who doesn't even seem to have noticed the young man's presence.

Sarah > Hey, you didn't wait for me! You're in a hurry to get back to the manor I see! Why all the rush?

> Sorry, but since Nicolae proposed to walk with me, I can't keep him waiting.

As usual, Sarah grimaces on hearing the Bartholy's name. It's really beginning to get on my nerves...

Sarah > Wouldn't you rather we went for a drink together? You have the right to relax now and again!

> I really can't, Sarah, I'm sorry... Don't forget that the Bartholys employ me...

Sarah > It's really not...

Sarah stops abruptly in the middle of her sentence just as she sees Nicolae, standing a few meters away, behind us. She obviously hadn't noticed his presence yet. Immediately her face darkens and her eyes flash angrily. I wonder what happened for things to be so tense between them. Sarah is always talking about Nicolae strangely. As for him, the way he looks at her shows that he doesn't really like her either. I'm sure something happened between them. Unfortunately, I doubt I'll ever know the long and short of it.

> Are you okay, Sarah? You look funny, suddenly... Is something wrong?

Sarah > No, no, don't worry, everything's fine.

Yet nothing seems fine at all. I'm not stupid, I can tell there's something. And Nicolae too. He seems to be waiting for me to go to him.

> Are you sure everything's okay, Sarah? Do you have a problem with Nicolae?
