I never really believed in all this. But ever since I got to Mystery Spell, I can't help but have doubts. Professor Jones begins his class with a definition of the supernatural. Every time he mentions a werewolf, I can't help but think of my dream. That strange wolf, his cry of pain, was he a supernatural creature? Reason wants me to think it was a simple wolf. Like the wolves from the fairy tales. But that's just it. Extraordinary things happen in fairy tales. In any case, it was just a dream. A simple dream like most of us have, and not reality. And extraordinary things happen in dreams, as well. I got lost in my thoughts and I didn't keep up with the lecture. I try and concentrate on what the Professor is saying. The class I already coming to an end. Professor Jones encourages us to read the book if we want to follow the class easily. I'm a little disappointed that the class is over, but I gather my things and head towards the Professor to give him back the book he lent us. The lecture hall is empty, and it's just me, Sarah and our cute Professor.

Professor Jones > So Ladies, what did you think of this introduction. I hope it met your expectations.

Sarah smiles like I've never seen her smile before. This must be her secret weapon because Jones can't keep his eyes off her. She shouldn't overdo it, he's still our teacher. But it's true he's just as, or maybe even cuter than the majority of the students on this campus! He seems to notice our confusion but pretends not to.

Professor Jones > I hope I'll see you in the next classes. You'll discover some interesting things.

We really look like two groupies, staring at him like that. Especially Sarah! She's staring at him with her eyes and mouth wide open. I try not to giggle, even though she deserves it. We hand him back his book, before leaving the lecture hall arm in arm. We burst out laughing as soon as we get outside. I can tell that this school year is going to be fun.

When I get out to the Bartholys, Lorie is sitting on the stairs, blocking my passage.

Lorie > Time to play! I'm tired of waiting for you!

> If you could just let me put my stuff away, and then I promise we'll play.

She doesn't seem to see it that way. She stays in front of me and prevents me from getting to my room.

> Lorie, if I can't move, we won't be able to play.

I break down as soon as I open my bedroom door: my drawers are all opened, and my belongings are spread out all over the place. I take a deep breath. Until proven otherwise, no tornado came through Mystery Spell today, other than tornado Lorie, of course. I'm starting to wonder if taking care of this little girl isn't going to be a lot harder than I thought. But since my job is still fresh, I decide to stay out of it and don't say anything. Even if I don't think any less of it. Instinctively I take her by the arm. Again, I am surprised at how cold her skin feels. I can't help but ask myself so many questions. This may be the perfect moment to do a little investigating: it's just the two of us in my room. Her brothers, and especially Drogo, won't be able to stop me from being too curious.

> Hey, Lorie, why don't you guys eat with me? Mealtimes are a nice way of spending time together, so why don't we?

She doesn't answer and just stares at me, looking funny. Kind of like if she wasn't really there.

> And do you know why there are no mirrors around? Don't you like making yourself pretty in front of the mirror? Like a little princess?

Again, Lorie welcomes this question with a long silence, just as disturbing as the first one. I think I'm going to lose patience with this little girl. Fortunately, I hear someone knocking on my door. Instinctively I answer,
