Her long fair curls, which she ties with pretty pink ribbons, frame her face and make her look delicate and childish. How can a little girl that looks like an angel, speak so rudely? Lorie stands in front of me with that firm look that children have sometimes when they won't give in. She's on the verge of having another fit. But I don't give in and eat another piece of toast. We haven't known each other for long, but she can't think that I'm going to give in to each one of her whims. She stays silent, so I get up and take her hand. But, again, the contact with her skin makes me shudder. She's so cold, it catches me off guard every time. I feel like I've just touched anything but a healthy little girl's arm.

> Lorie, you're not just cold, your arms are totally frozen. You need to put a sweater on.

Again, Lorie just stares at me without saying a word. I have the impression that her eyes are even brighter than before. Maybe she's coming down with something.

> As soon as you get a sweater on, we'll go play, okay?

Lorie > I don't want your stupid sweater! I'm not cold! I want to play!

I am totally aback by her reaction. I don't really know how to react in front of a little girl with such a strong personality. Never mind! Anyway, I need to leave for school now, if I don't to be late. I have three years to pass my exams and find a job. Being a nanny is probably a real job, but I don't intend on looking after temperamental little girls my whole life. It's important that I think of my future now. And I hope I'll reach my goals. Classes started three days ago and I'm just settling in. I haven't met many people on campus, for now... I'm a shy person, and I've always found any kind of change stressful. I have trouble making the first move to meet new people, but I promised myself not to keep to myself.

I quickly clear the table and head upstairs to my room to grab my stuff before leaving for campus. As I climb up the stairs, I meet a young man I've never seen in this house before. It feels like I've come face to face with a ghost of very pale white skin, almost translucent. His hair, which is a gorgeous deep brown, falls gracefully over his shoulders. The way he holds his head up high is enhanced by the glimmer in his beautiful grey-green eyes. There is something light about the way he climbs down the stairs as if he were gliding across the floor. He has a captivating aura. To be honest I've never seen such a beautiful man. The charisma he gives off makes me lose all countenance. His features are fine and delicate, yet you can tell that he's full of confidence by the way he walks. When his eyes meet mine, my heart skips a beat. I've seen this face before, it's the man in my locket in my dream!

When I arrive on campus, I'm glad to find Sarah right away. She's the first person I met here, the day I enrolled. And for the moment, she is also the only person I know at Mystery Spell. Besides the Bartholys of course. Enrolment was last week, and Sarah was a great help. She guided me through all the different administrative services. It's always a little scary in a place where you know no one. Sarah was nice to me right from the start. I admire her poise. She looks a lot more at ease in these hallways than I do. She knows the place so well that I have a hard time keeping up with her. Up until now, I've never been in such a big place, with this many doors and hallways.

> You know Sarah, I feel a little lost, I'm having a hard time getting used to it.

Sarah > You'll see you'll soon find your way around. All the rooms that start with the number one are on the first floor.

> And rooms that start with a two... are on the second floor?

Sarah > Exactly! You see, you got it already!

Sarah bursts out laughing, and I notice that she's very charming. In fact, all the boys are always turning around to look at her, which almost makes me jealous. She's really magnetic, like the magazines say! The type of girl that attracts all the attention no matter what she's wearing.
