。・゜・Chapter 7・゜・。
"The greatest trick the Devil ever pulled was convincing the world he didn't exist"
The urge to destroy the piece of paper he held between his fingertips was so overwhelming that it became almost suffocating. The intense desire to rid the note from existence consumed all of Taehyung's thoughts. His body unnaturally curled into itself as waves of anxiety rippled through him. The uncanny feeling of nausea spiked as Taehyung continued to stare at the letter with wide, panicked eyes.
As his hands shook the lettering on the note became distorted and Taehyung could barely read the words. Taehyung tightened his grip on the note, crumpling the edges of it. His subconscious screamed at him to just rip the cursed thing into shreds. However, something was stopping him. Maybe it was because the people he met in the alleyway intrigued him, but Taehyung couldn't will his body to destroy the note. As much as he knew not to mess with the mysterious duo, he wanted - no needed - to know more about them.
The underlying secrets they both held in those dark eyes and guarded stares drew Taehyung to them. Like he was on a string and everytime he encountered the duo, the string tightened, pulling him closer to them.
Taehyung resented himself for this feeling because discovering the secrets would only cause him more trouble. Yet, as he continued to persuade himself that he didn't need to know anything about the duo at all, his fingers slowly unfolded the note gripped tightly in his hands.
His fingers peeled back each layer of paper, uncovering more writing as they did so. Taehyung shuddered as the ink was revealed, fear heightening as he viewed the same messy cursive handwriting. Squeezing his eyes shut and taking a deep breath, Taehyung opened his eyes and focused them on the writing before him.

We hope you didn't get too cold standing outside, our precious dollie. We would've come for you, but we quite enjoy this cat and mouse game we're playing right now. However, you can't run forever, little one. We'll find you wherever you go. You do know that, right? After laying our eyes on you last night we just can't let you slip through our grasp. Although we will admit, you are a tricky one to catch. Either way, you're ours, doll and one day you'll be in our arms...whether you like it or not.
- See you soon, JK and PJ

Taehyung read the note with narrowed eyes as shivers ranked through his body. Apparently, the duo had already laid claim on the blonde boy and Taehyung didn't like that at all. He was not an object to be owned and he would not let anybody treat him as such. Huffing, Taehyung crumpled the note and threw it in the garbage bin near his door. No way would he allow that duo to get to him. Afterall, he isn't stupid and surely won't be waiting for them to take him like some damsel in distress.
Taehyung knows how to look after himself, he's been doing it for his whole life and he isn't going to stop now. If the duo wanted to take him, they better be prepared for a fight.
The 'see you soon' clearly meant that they were coming to retrieve him eventually. Taehyung pondered how he can throw them off his path. He already made a huge mistake by running to his house and not the police station because now they know where he lives. However, if he scattered the times he left and came home, maybe he could confuse them enough to the point where it would be hard for them to know when he's doing what. That way, they wouldn't know when to strike and it would be hard for them to keep tabs on him.
Taehyung did realise that his plan was slightly flawed because he is, in fact, still a college student who can't be late to his classes. He would have to find a way around this matter though, because if he didn't, he's screwed.
Pushing himself off the floor, Taehyung grabbed his computer from his open backpack and quickly rushed to his desk. He swiftly sat down in his black office chair and rolled it closer to his desk while placing his laptop on the surface. Opening the lid of his computer, Taehyung pulled up a web browser and typed in the initials 'JK' and 'PJ'. He knew that this would be useless because a lot of people have these initials, however maybe he could narrow down the people who come up to a select few. From there, he could try and match the faces to the ones he saw last night and find out their full names.
The search engine took a while to load, but after one minute and twenty three seconds a screen popped up. Taehyung furrowed his eyebrows and narrowed his eyes as he read the screen before him. After reading the screen multiple times, Taehyung researched the initials with a few other words and waited for the screen to load.
Taehyung read the next screen that appeared and cursed under his breath at what was presented before him. Rubbing his eyes, Taehyung rerouted the search engine, typing in a different URL from the one he previously had.
Alas, everything Taehyung tried was useless because he was directed to the same screen each time. A screen that read:
Error: Your search does not match any documents.
Slamming his hands on the desk, Taehyung continuously read the screen until his eyes hurt hoping the words would magically shift into what he was really looking for. But of course, the words never changed and the black lettering remained on the screen.
Vigorously rubbing his eyes, Taehyung tried t0 think of a plausible reason as to why nothing was working. There's no possible way absolutely nothing would result from his searches.
The only way that could happen is if someone hacked into the database and wiped the browser of any information regarding that specific topic.
