they were walking around the forest, not too far from where everyone was staying. they didnt want to get lost.

they found an open spot, perfect for the two.

they sat and looked at the night sky.

"y/n."

"do you like stars?" the boy asked.

"yeah. i do. do you?"

"yeah. i love them. although love is an understatement. stars are pretty. the way they twinkle is so pretty. stars give me comfort, you know?" jungwon explained.

y/n admired the boy. she was focused on jungwon, while jungwon was staring at the twinkling stars.

"the moon is lovely, too. dont you think?" jungwon smiled at the girl.

"yeah. it really is."

"hey, y/n."

"yeah?"

"whats your astrology sign?"

"ah, im a gemini. you?"

jungwon smiled.

"aquarius."

"oh, so you were born around january to february?"

"february 9, yeah."

"thats cool. although im wondering why you're smiling. weirdo." y/n said, looking back at the sky, completely distracted.

"i find it funny how our zodiac signs are compatible."

"hm? what was that?"

"n-nothing."

'why am i feeling this way? do i perhaps.. like her- no way! what are you thinking jungwon?'

the poor boy has never ever been in love.

he has been so focused on his studies ever since he was a kid. his mother has never put pressure on the boy but he still wanted to make her proud.

his dad on the other hand, always had high expectations from the boy. always putting pressure on him. that is until his dad passed away from an accident.

"say jungwon.. have you ever been in love?"

"no."

"what? why not?"

"its a waste of time. id rather study. its an endless cycle, y/n. you fall in love, get happy temporarily, get broken, move on, and the cycle repeats itself."

"thats what YOU think, won."

jungwon widened his eyes from the sudden nickname, but still kept silent.

"you have never fallen inlove so you dont even know how it works. trust me, once you fall inlove with the right person, itll work out in the end. you never made time for fun things, you focused on your studies all the time. you think its a waste of time but you never really tried having fun. trust me, if you ever find the person who will make you happy forever, its worth it. fate has its own plans. love teaches you many things, won."

"you dont know that, you havent found the person who will forever make you happy." jungwon explained

"thats why im trying to look for that person.. maybe you should give it a try."

"10 days." y/n spoke.

"what?"

"spend time with me. let me be your fake girlfriend for 10 days. if you fall inlove, then you lose. if you dont, then you win."

"what happens if we both fall inlove?"

"are you serious? ill date you. for real."

"and if we dont fall in love?"

"then we stay as friends."

"and if its a one sided love?"

y/n was silent.

"then.. we let fate decide." y/n softly smiled.

"okay. 10 days, right?"

"10 days, my love." y/n giggled.

jungwon blushed at the sudden nickname, he was very flattered and his heart felt like it was gonna come out of his chest anytime soon because it was beating so much.

"but i thought we were already.. fake dating. did you forget about what happened earlier?"

"ah. then we go back to day 1 starting tomorrow. simple, right?"

"i.. i guess."

"lets go back!" y/n spoke, standing up.

"lets go." jungwon smiled.

y/n grabbed jungwon's hand and intertwined their fingers.

the sudden move made jungwon as red as a tomato.

"oooh! you're blushing!" y/n teased.

"i-im not! lets just go."

"goodnight, y-y/n."

JUNGWON's POV

i closed the door and immediately jumped on my bed.

fuck. my heart is beating fast.. a little too fast.

"ahh!!" i grabbed my hair in frustration.

"dont let her distract you, jungwon. focus on your studies. love is a waste of time. this isnt real dating." i said to myself in the mirror

"oh your so called boyfriend who kissed you infront of everybody?"

"yes."

"damn y/n. whatd you two do?"

"stargazed. i dont know, talk about life?"

"so.. when are you planning on breaking up with him?" aera asked.

"in 10 days. thats our deal.. unless."

"unless what?"

"unless we end up falling inlove which is like a very low chance of happening."

"you dont know that."

"yeah, aera's right. you cant control your feelings."

"whatever, he wouldnt fall in love with me anyway. hes too focused on his studies."
