episode 1: rise of a new sun

It's been a year since Kiara's brother had left to live at the tree of life. She'd hardly ever hang out out with him and yet she missed him. However she didn't have time to worry about that. She ruled over the pridelands and had duties to attend too. " your highness" Zazu said flying towards her." Zazu, What's the matter?" Kiara asked "You seem worried"." Well, there is quite a big issue." He replied" how big ?" Kiara asked hoping it wouldn't be too bad." On a scale of 1 to 10 it's a 10" he replied
Kiara went for worry to fear." What is happening ?" She replied

"Well the zebras were saying that the grass and foliage on their grounds were unnatural low. The buffalo had the same issue, so did springbok and every other herbivores in the pridelands." Zazu said." Why ? It been raining alot lately and it been fine before" she said. " it might have to do with the amount of  plant eaters in the pridelands." Zazu replied." There eating so much grass at such high amounts That the grass doesn't have enough time to grow" He finished. Kiara was worried. What could she do to stop this ? She cant just tell the herbivores to stop eating. She can't just kick them out the pridelands, well she could do both of those things bu,t she didn't want too.

" I might have an idea" a lion said from behind. It was Kovu." And what idea might you have?" Kiara asked not expecting him to answer." What if we allowed more carnivores into the pridelands ?" He said in response to Kiara's question. Kiara looked at him in confusion." There are carnivores in the pridelands." She said" clearly not enough if this is an issue" He said. " Ok, so you're serious." She said. Kovu simply nodded." Ok but, carnivores don't really want to live in the pridelands." She said."  That's because the pridelands are to restrictive. Meat eaters don't like having to live off the least amount of food possible when there's more then enough to feed them." Kovu said." So your saying we let the herbivores get over hunted ?"  She asked." I never said that . Let's just be less restrictive. We can't save everyone and we can't starve ourselves to protect the circle of life. If there a predator wiping out the herbivores we deal with them, but we let those that aren't doing eat. Simple... I think" kovu said.

Kiara thought for a bit. It was better than any plan she could think of. But, she still wasn't sure if it was the right thing to do." Zazu what do you think ? "." I think we might not have a choice, if we don't go through with this the pridelands could die." Zazu replied." Ok but, I still  have to ask dad." She said." Well, yes obviously." Kovu answered.

Kiara went back to thinking about her brother. He never went to see them and hasn't sent them any messages. She was worried. As quick as thoughts of her brother had came into her head they had left just as fast." Yo, kiara you ok ? " kovu asked." Ya, ya was just.... thinking. Let's go ask dad about your idea." Kovu nodded and followed her into the cave
