episode 9: forgotten lioness

At the pridelands
Vitani's guard were patrolling the lands It was almost night and yet they were still out. The rest of the guard were tired but, they continued the patrol.
"Vitani, can we please stop ?" Kasi pleaded." Don't worry, we'll stop... eventually." The all moaned. The patrol continued for a couple more minutes before hearing a bump." Ah! my head." A voice said from inside a an old hollowed tree. Soon a lioness climbed out the tree and went off. The lioness had mostly tan fur that slowly faded white as it got lower. It eyes purple. What  was most notable about the lioness was that it seemed to have a mane or what looked like one that was dull pink. Almost everything about  the lioness was dull.They were confused, but it soon hit them that they had never seen this lioness. Meaning it was trespassing.

" Hey you! Stop !" Vitani demanded. The lioness looked back at them." And you are ?" The lioness asked." Vitani, the leader of the lion guard." Vitani explained." Huh, last I checked Simba's son was the leader." 'When was the last time you checked ?"
" a year ago I think"
The lioness examined Vitani. It seemed like it  looking for something. She eventually made eye contact." I'm Fedheha." She finally responded." Do any of the royal family know of you living in the pridelands ?" Vitani asked.
"No, but I do obey the rules." Fedheha replied." How can you survive without eating ?" Kasi asked. Fedheha laughed
"It's called scavenging." She replied

"Look we need you to leave. Your still trespassing in pridelands even if you were here before the rule was made."
Vitani said. Fedheha looked at the rest  of Vitani's guard and Vitani." You remind me of someone. Someone who left me to die. Zira." She said. Vitani tensed up alittle. Her mother had came in contact with this lioness. And had abandoned it. Vitani hoped that it didn't hold grudges, but it's muffled snarls
Didn't help her Hope's." I'm not her. Incase that wasn't already obvious, but I am related to her... in some way." Vitani replied." Her daughter, aren't you ?" The lioness replied expressionless.

Vitani tensed up again
She didn't want to talk about her mother after all the horrible things she had done. She had a good relationship with her for the years she knew her, but she didn't want anyone to know that. She didn't hate her mother like everyone else seemed to, but she knew that her mother was in the wrong, but she secretly didn't believe it. The lioness could tell that Vitani was long disconnected from there conversation
"Well, I shall leave. It would be nice to have someone escort me." Fedheha said snarckly." Fine, sure I escort you." Vitani replied." The rest of you guys can get some rest." The rest ofthe guard sighed in relief." Finally." one of them replied. The guard ran off to the cave. Vitani rolled her eyes." Well let's  go."

Vitani escorted Fedheha to the border of the pridelands. On the way the lioness would consistently ask questions about what was going on in and around the pridelands."... and now Kion lives at the tree of life."
" huh, good for him. One more question." Fedheha stated. Vitani didn't want to answer anymore questions, but  she knew  Fedheha would ask any ways
"Do you miss your mom ?" She asked gently. Vitani stopped in her tracks." Can you stop asking about my mom ?"
She snapped." Struck a nerve, Didn't I ?
Your sensitive about her, aren't you?"
" Shut up, please just shut up." Vitani demanded." The more you react the more  I'm going to Ask about her." Fedheha replied

Vitani gave up." No, I don't miss her."
"Just because you don't miss her doesn't
Mean that you never loved her." Fedheha said." Yes, I loved her once, she was my mom, you tend to love your parents when you don't know what they do and now I know what she did and don't l-loves her anymore."
"That's what you tell your self, but deep down you know you still do and I won't blame you for that. You can love or miss someone, but still agree that they were wrong. I've mostly forgiven her. I'm still alive and she payed her price. I got to admit your much more vulnerable than I expected. If we meet again I won't be so hard on you."
" T-thank you." Vitani said under her breath." Your welcome." Fedheha replied

I think it's my time to head off. I lived in the outlands two years back. Ill see if I'm still allowed to live there." She said before walking out the pridelands and into the dark abyss. Vitani wasn't sure what had happened. She didn't even release she was crying. She didn't believe that the lioness was real. It knew exactly what to say to her and how to exploit her emotions." She wiped her tears and made her way back to priderock. Thinking about what Fedheha said.
