Chapter 20

"Didn't know you missed me that much." I teased as Namjoon hugged me.

"Didn't know you cared for us so much to sacrifice yourself."

This caused my cheeks to redden immediately as the others around us laughed.

"Oh shut up.." I mumbled as I stepped away from him.

"I'm glad you're okey Aera, really." He said as he patted my shoulder with so much sincerity in his eyes.

I smiled at him.

"I'm glad you all are safe."

This caused him to smile back at me, his hand still on my shoulder.

"Unnieeeeee!"

"Noonaaaaa!"

I turned my head at the direction of the voices and saw both Yuri and Jungkook running towards me.

I laughed nervously as they jumped at me, pulling me into a tight hug.

"Guys I'm okey, I promise I'm fine."

Yuri looked back at me with tears in her eyes and I quickly cupped her face.

"What about you? Are sure you're okey, did they hurt you?? I swear I'll kill them all."

She chuckled at me with tears threatening to fall down from her eyes.

"I'm okey unnie."
She gave me a warm smile, immediately calming me down.

"Good."

I looked at Jungkook who also had tears in his eyes which he was trying so hard to hide. I cared for the guys all the same, I've come to love them all surprisingly however, Jungkook held a special place in my heart. He was more like an little brother for me. He reminded me of someone very dear, someone I had failed to protect...

I ruffled his hair and put my hand on his cheek.

"We're okey."

He hugged me again and I hugged him back until Namjoon spoke up.

"Hate to break the moment but we need to make a plan. We don't have long before the goods arrive and as soon as they find the dead body of the guard, we're done for." He stated.

"What dead body?" Jimin asked.

"There's a dead body?" Taehyung was next to ask.

"Yeah, I kinda killed the guy." Jungkook answered.

"Jungkook killed a guy?!" Yuri exclaimed in shock.

"Where is the body?" Hoseok asked.

"The body is- Guys is this really important right now?! We're a bit off topic, I'm trying to come up with a plan here?" Namjoon finally said making them all shut their mouths.

"So, what's the plan?"

Unknown POV

"So they're planing on making an escape? That's interesting." Dr. Choi chuckled.

I stood my ground, feeling guilty of my choice but I had no chance.

I looked over at the screen and saw her eating with the others during her lunch time.

She was smiling as always and eating happily while talking about something excitedly to the others.

"You've made a wise choice about telling me. Good to know who's side you're on." Dr. Choi said.

I felt disgusting knowing I betrayed my friends but it was either that or her getting killed.

I couldn't let that happen.

"You may leave now."

I left the room without saying anything and slammed it shut behind me.

Narrator POV

Yoongi laid in bed with Aera in his arms. He closed his eyes takin in the scent of the girl that laid in his arms and giving her a kiss on top of her head.

He didn't know how they came to this point but he wasn't complaining. He didn't care what this was or what anyone would think he just wanted her close. The only thing that scared him was something bad ever happening to her.

Aera shifted in her place and turned around putting her weight on her elbows so she could face Yoongi.

She reached for his hair and removed a piece that was in his eye. How was this man before her so gorgeous and how come she had never realized this. Sure she always found Yoongi attractive but he was more than that. The way his black messy hair fell loosely on his forehead  and the way those thin lines appeared every time he had a frown. The scar... even that scar...it was lovely.

With all his imperfections he was perfect.

"You're staring." He teased.

"I'm admiring." She answered back causing his cheeks to turn a light shade of pink. This made her smile.

"It's funny you know," He started.
"How I melted the ice queens heart." He smirked.

Now it was her turn to blush. She hit his chest lightly and hid her face behind her hair. He was quick to grab her chin and lift it up so she was facing him.

"And you know what happens when ice melts?"

He brought her face closer to his lips so they were only inches away.

"It gets wet." He breathed out.

She felt his breath on her lips as a tingle rushed down her whole body causing her core to tighten.

He wanted her. He knew he did but she still hasn't fully recovered yet and her wounds would hurt her if anything were to happen right now so he only kissed her forehead.

She was confused with the sudden change of act but she didn't think much about it and closed her eyes feeling his lips in her forehead.

Aera went back to looking at his face and gently tracing his face with her finger.

Her fingers traced over the scar on his eye and she bent over to kiss it causing his breath to hick.

"It must've hurt..." she found herself saying without realizing.

"It was a long time ago." He said calmly.

I wanted to ask him what had happened, what was the cause of it but I held myself back. Making him uncomfortable was the last thing I wanted.

As if he had sensed my thoughts, a long sigh left him before he started talking.

"You see my mother was very sick ..."
