FROSTBURN || Min Yoongi

Chapter 26

Narrator POV

They've been walking for sometime now and had finally reached the city. They looked around at the busy street with fast cars and tall buildings that they haven't seen for so long. The watched in awe as people walked past them and blinding colors of the city shined brightly on them.

"Wow... it feels different, like it's been forever..." Hoseok said, taking in the busy streets.

"Doesn't it.." Taehyung was next to speak.

"So what now, where do we go, where do we stay?" Asked Jimin, as the others have been wondering about the same thing.

"That, I can help with." Mina answered.

They all looked at her with confused expressions, waiting for her to continue.

"Ever been to Jeju before?" She asked with a smile on her face.

"Welcome to your new homes. This place should keep us safe for a while." Mina said unlocking the villa's door.

It was a big villa, away from the rest of the local areas of Jeju. Further towards the shore and well hidden between the trees, on top of a hill. The villa house had a big open area with a pool and looked big enough for all of them to live in. It was a very luxurious place that made all of them wonder how Mina was even able to afford it.

"Wow! This place is amazing!" Jungkook exclaimed, jumping on top of Taehyung and Jimin as the three crackheads started running around the place.

Aera and the others chuckled at their reaction.

"Yaah! Wait for me!" Yuri yelled as she ran after them.

Aera thought for a moment before turning back to look at Mina.

"If you don't mind me asking, how did you-"

"It was my grandpa's." Mina started with a smile on her face, not letting Aera finish her sentence. Now the rest of them had their attention on her, listening to her every word.

"He was one of the scientist behind the virus accident. When he realized somethings were off, he wanted to stop. He didn't want to create something that would kill people, well, he'd be shocked if he knew that instead of killing, it made kids have powers." Mina chuckled painfully.

"What do you mean if..?" Asked Aera, her voice sounding not so confident.

"He was killed... because he refused to continue and threatened them to tell everyone. That's why I joined their facility in the first place, to get some proper evidence and show people the truth, like grandpa wanted..." she finished, smiling through the tears, threatening to fall from her eyes.

Jin slowly reached down to grab her hand and reassure her that it was okey. The small gesture made her feel safe as her breathing calmed down.

"Didn't you have enough evidence throughout the years? You could've left the place earlier." Namjoon said, not understanding the logic behind her long stay.

"Your right, I could've." She stopped and looked up at Jin with a little smile as they kept holding hands. "But then, I met someone."

Jin smiled at her as the rest of the guys had knowing smiles on their faces while Yoongi snaked his arm around Aera, pulling her closer to him.

Their sweet moment was interrupted as a loud splash was heard from the pool area.

"TAEHYUNG! YOU'RE DEAD!"

The others rushed over to see what was happening when they saw Jimin splashing around in the water as Taehyung, Jungkook and Yuri laughed at him from the sides.

Jungkook and Taehyung grabbed Yuri as she screamed for them to stop but they soon threw her in. After she was back on the surface, they both jumped in themselves laughing and splashing around in the water.

Aera was laughing at their silliness when she suddenly yelped as she felt herself being lifted up.

"Yoongi...no...Don't you fucking dare!" She yelled, hitting Yoongi's back from over his shoulder.

"Keep screaming princess. You know I like it when you do that."

She could feel the smirk under his voice and began hitting him harder, but it seamed that he wouldn't be letting her go any time soon.

She saw Hoseok and Namjoon running beside them, jumping into the water to join the others as Jin and Mina tried running away from the water that they were splashing on them.

Yoongi finally let Aera down as she huffed in annoyance, standing at the edge of the pool.

" finally. You're fucking dumb you know that? Try something like that again and- Ah!"

This time, Yoongi had lifted her into his arms, hands supporting her waist as she had her legs wrapped around his waist.

"Hold your breath princess."

Her eyes widened at his words.

"Yoongi don't-"

And he jumped into the cool, refreshing water with Aera in his arms.
