Weeks passed. Hermione Granger had been a resident to one of the world's most influential and powerful families. She used to go to the local library to read her books. Now, she had her own down the hall, filled with pieces of literature she could only dream of reading and Professor Lupin bringing her newer books from the Oxford University library. The days when she had cereal or bacon and eggs for breakfast were replaced by mornings with tea, chocolate glazed croissants, exotic fruit bowls and many selections of sandwiches available to choose from.

Even school-life seemed to have changed for her. Now the bushy-haired, know-it-all had become 'Harry Potter's possible new girlfriend'. Even Cho kept her eyes on Hermione like a vulture on its prey, but she didn't pay much attention to the girl.

As Hermione now walked out of her Math class for the day, she found herself smiling almost uncontrollably. Living with Harry made her happier as many could see, but not for the reasons they thought. The rumours of their relationship were spreading like wildfire and Hermione couldn't care less. That is, until she was met with the mad eyes of a fiery redhead who approached them after she'd informed Luna of the incident with Voldermort's death eaters from the previous few weeks. "Hermione Granger," the brown-eyed girl said in a huff. Hermione and Luna both found themselves at the doors of the library with a raging Ginny Weasley in their faces. "Ginny? What's wrong?" Luna said in her worrying, but still dreamy, voice. "You two. That's what's wrong," Ginny yelled. "First, I hear my brother's hanging out Looney-Lovegood and now I hear that you're flirting with my boyfriend!"

To say Hermione was confused would be the understatement of the year. She was bloody bewildered.  All of a sudden, Harry and Ron came sprinting from down the halls yelling. "I thought you said he wasn't coming back this year!" Harry shouted. "Well how the bloody hell was I supposed to know France didn't want him either! I thought Malfoy was gone for good." Ron replied. The two ran away from Draco Malfoy and his minions, Crab and Doyle, while they chased after them with water guns the length of a rifle and the size of a log. "You get back here, Potter!" Draco shouted.

It was while running from Draco that Harry saw Ginerva Weasley, his biggest fangirl of all time and Ron's little sister. "Ginny?" he said as his eyes caught wind of the redhead, his favourite brunette and her blonde best friend. He paused in his tracks and tried to approach the girls. But trying to get near them nearly got him blasted with the terrible brown substance being squirted at him. "Give me a second," Harry said to the girls. "Ron! Bag!" he shouted at Ron. The redhead threw him his hand-me-down backpack and Harry used it as a shield. Harry charged after Draco letting the bag take the fire. When he was close enough, Harry slid on the floors and tripped the three boys with his leg. Quickly, Harry grabbed the largest gun and threw it to Ron. He then took the remaining two for himself and scurried back to Ron's side as they both started shooting Draco, Crab and Doyle. "WOOHOO!" Ron shouted as the blonde and his minions ran away drenched in the unholy liquid.

Now victorious, Harry and Ron laughed and high-fived one another as the eyes of many looked at them in shock. Harry and Ron then turned to the girls who were the most shocked of them all. "What was that?" Luna asked the grinning boys. "That's just how me, Malfoy and Harry returning friendly greetings." Ron replied. "Friendly? That was barbaric. I can't believe you chased each other with water guns." Hermione commented on their juvenile behaviour. "Oh, no. This isn't water." Harry smiled. "What is it?" Luna chimed in. "Well, by the looks of the colour, texture and thickness, dirt mixed with water and glue heated for a more fluid, richer appearance, some green food colouring, two cups of toenails, and finally, dog hairs." Ron explained. The girls were revolted, to say the least. "So unoriginal." Harry added and his friend nodded in agreement.

"That's disgusting." Hermione said. "It's simple and plain. Malfoy must be running out of ideas. Anyways," Harry said to change the topic. "Ginny, when did you get back from Spain?" the boy asked. Ginny's anger and disgust had turned into joy and bashfulness as Harry's grass-green eyes turned to her. "Yesterday. Last night to be more exact," she blushed. "I just came to see if all the rumours I heard were true." Ginny folded her arms as her eyes leaned back over to Hermione. "What rumours?" Harry asked with a genuine look of confusion. "About you and Miss Granger here. Word is, that she's dating you, using you and trying to wiggle her way into the Potter family."
