Percy's POV:

Percy Jackson couldn't remember anything.

"Will, Please! I'll do anything, just please. I swear. Help him." That was he only thing he had heard. Percy could tell it was a girl and she was crying. "I'm so sorry, Annabeth," said the blond boy. He took a shaky breath "I tried."

The girl moved out of view, but Percy wanted to see more of her. He could see the slight bit of a girl with golden eyes that shined in the faint streaks of sunlight peaking through the window. She had a purple shirt, same as the guy next to her. It had a word or picture on it but everything Percy could see just then turned into a sharp blur.

Some more people sat in the room. Like a boy with a scar on his lip that looked suspiciously as if it was caused by a stapler.
Suddenly, a loud scrape passed through the room and directly into his ear.

"Perce! Percy! Wake up, we have a test today, remember?" Said a displeased voice.

Percy bolted up so fast that the boy jumped back.

Looking right at him was a guy with red hair sticking out in every direction.

"Woah, did you have a nightmare or something?"

Percy ignored him. He looked around. They seemed to be in a dorm room. He sat uncomfortably on a white silky bed and across from him was a replica of the bed, except with messy sheets and a blanket lying tangled up on the floor. A window was right above his bed with a perfect view of the traffic. There was a sign that said: "Missouri welcomes you!"

"Who are you?" Percy asked not really wishing for an answer. The boy rolled his eyes. "Scrambled eggs, " was his reply.
The redhead blew a strand of hair out of his blue eyes.  "I'm being serious, " Percy said in a sleepy, yet serious voice. "Asher, duh. Now get up, we have a math test this morning!"

Asher told him he would meet him by the stairs after Percy got dressed.

Still confused, tired, and begging for an answer to something, Percy took off his shirt. A ballpoint pen rolled out of the pockets. He picked it up and studied it warily. "Anaklusmos," He said out loud. That's what the pen said on the side. Then he dropped it in pure shock. He stared at it rolling across the floor as he realized the word was in Ancient Greek. And he had understood it perfectly.
"Riptide," Percy muttered over and over again.

He found a dark blue shirt with black and white stripes on the sleeves. He kept thinking of what he last saw. Especially that pretty girl with grey eyes.

As he was about to leave the room to meet with Asher, he looked one more time at the ballpoint pen. He felt like he needed it. Like he had a connection to it. Which sounded pretty stupid, considering that was a pen but he scooped it up and took it anyway.

When he met with Asher at the stairs, they walked to math class. Apparently, they had missed breakfast because "Percy is slower than a sea turtle." At least that was what Asher had said. Percy knew for a fact he didn't pay attention in the first-grade animal unit.

"...And there was this huge duck!" Asher said as he held out his arms to show how big the duck was.
But Percy really wasn't listening to Asher and his crazy dream. He was focused on trying to remember who those people were. He glanced at Asher who was still going on about his weird dream about giant ducks and with a startle, Percy realized that this guy was only fifteen and Percy was seventeen. He was no expert on school, but shouldn't he be in college? This is high school, Rosewood high. There were signs everywhere about Rosewood high sign-ups.
