"I'm so tired... why don't I care anymore? I'm too tired to care for now, I'm going to sleep"

"Meow"

"Mama only looked at me with love when I made her garden come to life. Do you think they'll come back if I do that?"

"Meow"

"I hope so too, thank you for staying with me Neko"

"Inumaki-senpai, dodge!" I warned.

The roots nearly knocked Inumaki off but thankfully he managed to run quicker and jump down to me. We were huffing slightly but we still had plenty of stamina before I spotted my shovel on the ground. It was a big risk but I told Inumaki before jumping down and cushioning my fall with snake plants that helped me slide and lessen the impact before I reached the ground. I began running straight for my shovel before my fingers reached out to grasp it.

When my fingers wrapped around the wooden shaft before picking it up and dodging to the left as more roots came at me. I needed to kill my cursed energy quick just like Neko taught me. I jumped into one of the trees and tried to seal in my cursed energy as I steadied myself on the branches to hide so my breathing would even out. A few minutes past and I heard a loud creaking sound and loud thumps that came closer and eventually was right under me before it passed. Lucky. At least I directed the curse the wrong way from anyone else.

Looking around, I'm sure I was fine until I felt a presence nearby. Below me. It was so very familiar and I tried to keep my cursed energy down but the squeamish feeling of possibly being discovered was slight unpleasant. I trued to ignore the knock at the base of the trunk of the tree. Calling for Neko lowly, he stepped out and was ready to attack finally albeit sluggishly when I felt the branch bend downwards from the weight if the curse on it. Mahito.

"Yahoo~ you can't hide your soul easily. Been a while, hey don't sick your cat on me just yet. No harm, I promise." Mahito smiled innocently.

"I'm pressing X to doubt... Neko start growing. Seems like your getting sweet dessert today." I ordered.

"Mou, you're quite on guard with me." Mahito laughed.

"As I should be, you hurt my friend.. you hurt Itadori too. Even Nanami." I stated.

"Aw, how can I make it up to you?" Mahito asked.

The curse crouched and inched slightly closer before staying still as he sat there, blinking at me curiously while Neko was starting to growl as he jumped off the branch and grew to be our height. I felt slightly more secure with Neko ready to have one meal and Mahito clearly knew Neko's surprising threat level. He waved nervously at him with a smile before turning to look back at me where his mismatched eyes met my normal ones. I tried to think of the best response before realising that thinking doesn't go well with me. He offered out his hand with a relaxed expression by the way his shoulders slouched forward and the softer look in his eyes.

"I'll give you a freebie. I promise not to kill two of the people you want. No mutations that would kill them... I promise." Mahito offered.

My eyes widened in surprise before staring at the hand skeptically and I hesitantly took it. His delighted smile made me feel as if this would be the right choice in the future but now I had to pick two names. Two people... I didn't know who to pick but I needed to make the right choice. If I could only increase the chances. My body felt suddenly very weighted and it was overbearing as I tightened my hold in his hand as the words slipped out of my mouth. Did I lose control slightly? Is this what going crazy is like? This painful?
