Unfortunately, the call Ieiri gave back confirmed that they were indeed humans but had been mutated and imbued with so much curse energy that they seemed like curses. I didn't know how to comfort Itadori who looked scared so I placed my hand on his head and tried giving him head pats. He was a bit surprised at my demeanour and thanked me for trying with a weak smile. I could hear the phone call slightly about how their brain stems were tampered with which means those people were in a frenzied state of confusion. The curse must have been likely to alter them to let them use cursed energy.

"Oh yeah, is Itadori listening?"

"Ah hai" Itadori answered

"To sum it up, these people died of shock when their bodies were mutating. You didn't kill them so don't get the wrong idea about that. Is (M/N) listening too?" Ieiri asked

"Yes" I replied

"I know you don't have a big problem with all of this so you can come and see it when you get back. Get some reverse technique practice in. Could you buy some things too?"

"Sure, bye" I said

With that, Ieiri hung up and Nanami leaned back onto the couch. I took the towel out of Itadori's hand as he clenched his fist. Their death still weighed just as heavily on him. I use the towel to dry Itadori's hair. Mine was pretty dry thanks to my sunflower hat. I got up and used the towel to ruffle Nanami's head too so it would dry, messing up his hair. At least I got Itadori to laugh at that as I felt a small amount of happiness at his laughter.

Nanami turned to face me while I gave him a blank look. He sighed and turned away before continuing the conversation. If we were lured in then this person was definitely skilled. Since this mission now required more than moderate effort, we could go all-out. Itadori seemed super excited by that and pumped his fist while I raised my hands in background to support Itadori despite there not being an excited look on my face. A few hours later, Nanami had collected the info we needed and we thought we were going to head out but it seems that Nanami had another job for us.

It was about a boy named Junpei Yoshino. He went to the same school as the victims and the replayed footage of him running out of the theatre showed that he was unlikely to be a curse user. A curse user was explained to Itadori as an evil Jujutsu sorcerer. If Yoshino was related to the victims then it would change things. We were entrusted to look into that boy with Ijichi. As the other two left the room rather excitedly, I turned to Nanami.

"Please be careful, I met the curse yesterday and he was really strong. He's born from the fear and hate of humans. I know, if you want to find the curse then why don't you take Neko with you?" I asked.

"Your cat? What can it do?" Nanami asked

"It's a he and well he's pretty useful in last ditch scenarios. I don't like parting with my cat but your safety is important." I blurted

"I'm not sure how much your cat will help" Nanami doubted

"A lot, he's very lazy but apparently he's got a bit of a reputation with eating things." I muttered.

"If you insist" Nanami said

As I turned to pull Neko out of my shadow who yawned lazily at me, I gave him specific instructions to help Nanami before carrying him over to Nanami and plopping him next to Nanami. I warned Nanami that touching my cat should be avoided before reminding him to be careful. Ijichi came back into the room and he seemed like he wanted to talk to Nanami so I stepped outside while my cat meowed his goodbye very cutely. I waved a little at him. Itadori passed me and went into the room to speak with Nanami and Ijichi while I went down the stairs.

When I was at the bottom, I didn't expect Itadori to jump down but thankfully I caught him. The bright smile on Itadori's face as he laughed was adorable. He hugged me and let out a sigh before thanking me. I was left a bit confused. We began our hunt for the Yoshino with the small curses we've been given to test out if he could see them. Honestly, I was thinking we should just ask. In the car ride, we eventually found Yoshino's location and judging by his attire, it seems he hasn't gone to school a few days.

Quickly, Ijichi started informing us of the four possible options. When we release the curse if he can't see it then Itadori will save him, if he can see it but can't do anything then Itadori will still save him, if he exorcises it then we restrain him and lastly if he's a grade 2 or higher sorcerer then we leave and tell Nanami. Itadori said that he could probably take a second grade curse but that was different from a second grade sorcerer from what I learned. Usually the strength of a second grade sorcerer is equivalent to a first grade curse.

While Itadori and Ijichi followed quietly, I decided a different approach by just going straight up to him when he went inside a store. Only problem was that when I tried to get close, some other dude bumped me into the isle on accident and made me spill some bags. It seemed to be a blessing in disguise however as Yoshino heard this and turned around to help me put the items back. I thanked him before apologising for having him help me. He seemed a bit startled by my demeanour because he probably wasn't expecting such a mild person when he was talking to someone quite a bit taller than him.

"I'm (M/N) (L/N), thanks again for the help. How about you?" I said

"Uh J-Junpei Yoshino, it's alright." Yoshino introduced

"I'm glad to meet you, how about I buy you some things for helping me?" I offered

"Uh no, it's alright I have money...I actually forgot" Yoshino realised tapping his back pocket.

"Really? Well, I guess this is a great way to pay you back" I said

With that, I got some things for Yoshino and offered to help him carry it back him which he thanked me for while Itadori and Ijichi were trailing behind. I made sure to buy the items Ieiri asked for I talked to Yoshino about his favourite thing, movies. Thankfully, I was walking so I didn't fall asleep on the spot. He then shifted it to my interests. I told him that I loved animals and plants. He laughed slightly before explaining that he didn't expect that but it explained why I had a shovel. I told him the shovel on me right now wasn't for gardening but for assholes and curses I had to whack.

A/N: Thanks for reading! There's been quite a lot of ideas for outfits (M/N) could wear. Sadly, I don't think I'll write (M/N) as a cat boy because there's too many ideas and write now the tinker bell and long skirt one is being written. I already wrote the chapter where he wears a long skirt which would be under chapter nijuusan. It was 2k words to write oof. I hope you all aren't too mad. Anyways bye bye :)

 Anyways bye bye :)
