she smiled and walked to her seat, I tried not to make eye contact with my uncle but it was kinda hard to avoid when he decided to sit right in front of me

I cleared my throat and the room seemed to go completely silent, then my uncles phone went off. he checked it and he declined the call

y/n: who was it?
todoroki: it was uh.. it was aya
y/n: what the hell does that whore want

my uncle chuckled

bakugo: was that her earlier as well?
todoroki: yeah
y/n: why does she keep calling?
todoroki: she just calls to complain about kairi, I don't get why, he's a good kid-

we would get into small insignificant arguments here and there but never anything serious, this was the first time I was blinded by my own rage and wanted to raise my voice at my mother. I tried to stop myself but all of those built up emotions came out

y/n: everyone here is heartbroken, everyone here is trying to be happy and all you wanna do is make things harder on your uncle!
eli: you know mom, just because YOU guys have moved on, and YOU guys are happy, doesn't mean that I am! YOU got to keep your best friend and I didn't, okay? and I will never get to experience that! so im SORRY if that "makes things harder" for you. but i am HURTING IN SO MANY WAYS THAT I NEVER KNEW WERE POSSIBLE AND IM SO TIRED OF HAVING TO BE OKAY WITH EVERYTHING WHEN EVERYTHING ISNT OKAY!

my voice gave out and my shouting became whispering. I hung my head low and shut my eyes tightly, when I felt arms rap around me

still trying to hold back the tears in my eyes, my brows were furrowed and my lip quivered, finally giving in — wrapping my arms around him and crying into his shoulder.

he softly chuckled and wiped my tears away

bakugo: LITERALLY THOUGH! ITS SO HARD TO BE MAD AT HER-

my mom shut his mouth with her quirk as she softly smiled at my uncle and I

todoroki: listen, what you're going through is expected, your mom and I almost had to part ways the day before she got arrested, we said our goodbyes and I can't explain how heartbroken I was. i was devastated, and to think that you and kairi didn't even get to say your goodbyes.. it's simply horrible.

todoroki: don't hold back on your emotions to please others, let them out or else they'll start piling up and you'll explode one day over the smallest thing. for example, right now
eli: I just... miss him..
todoroki: I do too, but we'll get through this. I promise

she pushed my father out of the way and came running towards me and hugged me

my uncle and dad came next to me and out their ears close to the phone, I tried to push them away but they would budge

eli: you could've just texted me it

my dad and uncle furrowed their brows and looked at eachother, my mom force choked them both and signaled for me to run upstairs, so I did.

eli: and why would you want that
andy: just because. is that a problem? I hope not

he laughed and I wrote down the address he gave me
