"It's ok. I'm sure it's still there." I reassured her.

Her little face filled with fear and terror as soon as she realized her purse was missing. She grabbed onto my hand held it tight as she immediately moved towards the coffee house.

"Right." She shook her head trying to comfort herself as well.

I lead her back to the coffee house and she kept her hand in mine the entire time.

Well, it's not like I let her have a choice.

Walking into the coffee house the bell rung and an older woman cleaning the tables looked up. The frantic furrow of her brows and frown on Violet's face told the women enough as she moved towards the counter.

"Are you looking for this?" The women held up a little black purse and Violet's face lit up.

She let her go and ran towards the counter.

"Yes! I left it here on accident." She smiled up at the women and looked at the purse with panic and worry fleeing her eyes.

"Here you go sweetie." The woman handed over the purse with a kind smile.

"Thank you so much! I was so worried someone stole it." Violet let out a heavy breath and cradled the purse like it was some baby.

She walked over to me and smiled back at the women before giving a small goodbye. Walking out the door the sound of rain flooded our ears.

"It's raining?" Violet asked with cute confusion in her words.

I looked down at her as she looked at the rain with awe. Her eyes sparkled and she stuck her fingers out in order to feel the rain. "I walked here." She whispered and bit her lip nervously.

She looked at the street before she looked at me with a devilish smile and grabbed my arm. She pulled me into the rain to cross the street. And instead of moving to the over-hangs of the shops she laughed and twirled in the rain. I smirked at her silliness, but the innocent light rain turned to a heavy down pour and soaked us down to the toes.

"Come on. My car is this way." I pulled at her side.

She followed and we started running. She followed behind me and I looked back every once in a while, just to make sure she was still following.

We were almost to the garage when something hit the pavement with a loud thud.

Turning around I saw Violet on the ground and rushed to her. A rock sat right next to her and her knee bleed with blood gushing all over her wet hands.

"I tripped." She giggled trying to get up.

Her lips were curved in a smile but would tremble. Her knee hurt but she tried to ignore it as she tried to pull herself up from the floor very tentatively. She struggled and her eyes looked like at any given moment they were going to burst out into tears.

"Here let me carry you." I held my hands out to carry her.

"N-No. I'm fine. I-" She tried to protest.

I didn't listen though as a I pulled her in my arms and held her. She didn't weigh much so I ran the little way to the garage. Once inside we were dripping wet. I walked with every step squeaking from the water in my shoes.

Violet giggled and my face filled with confusion. "Your shoes sound like SpongeBob's." She chuckled facing away from me.

We finally made it to the garage, and she looked at me funny. "Didn't you say you have a house?"

"Yeah, but I also have an apartment in the city." I explained.

Her face dead panned, as she studied my face. "What do you do for a living Grey? Because I need it." She giggled. "man, I can barely afford my little apartment." She whispered as if she was talking to herself.

Her mood has definitely uplifted. When we first meet, she was nervous and fidgety, but now she's more joking, and seemed less stressed.

The elevator rung as it moved down to our level, and I entered with her still in my arms.

"You can let me down now." She looked up at me.

"No." I stated.

"I've got two feet for a reason." She rolled her eyes and huffed.

She looked around the elevator until we got to my penthouse. She gasped quietly as I walked us into the kitchen.

I set her on the counter. "Stay there. I'm going to get some stuff to clean your cut."

And get a shirt. Due to the rain her cream sweater became a bit transparent and I'm sure she would feel more comfortable in a not-so-see-through shirt.

I quickly walked into my bathroom and made a B-line to the medical cabinet. I feel like my teams always getting hurt so I made sure every estate I own is stocked full of everything we could ever need medically. Pulling out a large bandage and some alcohol wipes I go to my room and grab one of my black t-shirts.

She sits on the counter with her feet dangling and her non-injured leg swings back and forth. Her eyes wonder around my apartment, and she doesn't realize I stand in front of her until I announce it. That makes her jump.

"Here." I pass the t-shirt first while sorting out what I brought. I sprawl out all my necessary medical equipment and lay it out in order of bandaging.

"Huh? Why do I need a-" She pauses. "Oh my- I'm so sorry! I didn't realize it was see th-"

"It's ok." I chuckle lowly.
