"Violet you and I need to go over some ground rules." He said calmly.

It made my arm hairs stand. One second he was practically yelling at me and now he's scarily silent.

"Meet me in my office." He walks towards a double doored area that I never really payed much attention to, until now. He enters the room and slams the doors shut behind him.

"Oops. I didn't mean to get you in trouble..." Jamie squeaked out.

"Technically this whole situation is a kidnapping." I roll my eyes and drop my bags off at the foot of the stairs.

I scurry my way over to the double doors and inhale a deep breath. Final breath of sanity.

Opening one of the doors I enter and he looks up with a sharp gaze. "Rule one. Never come in my office without knocking."

What happened to the Grey I kissed in the kitchen. He was really had me thinking the old Grey was back. Turns out this new Grey is peskier and switches moods between hot and cold.

I shut the door behind me until I hear a click. Turning back around I head towards his desk.

"Am I allowed to sit?" I ask pointing to the chair infront of his desk.

He swipes his tongue over his teeth annoyed and nods. I take my cue and sit waiting to hear these amazing rules.

"I just want to say this before my rules." He places his hands on the table and I stare at them.

The rings and tattoos distract me from his blah blah words. I think he's talking about caring or something. I look away trying to focus back on his words.

"Do you understand?" He asks.

"huh?" I ask completely out of it.

"Violet, I'm not locking you in here, I'm just protecting you."

Sure. Like I'll believe that. Not being able to go wherever I want, even though I'm a full grown adult seems pretty controlling.

I also have no idea how long I'll be here. I mean I'm not even living at my apartment right now and yet I'm still paying for it. I'm not the most financially stable person right now either, so this is taking a tole on my bank account.

"So you want me to be here for who knows how long, not being able to tell people where I am, and not being able to leave?" I ask with my eyebrows arched. To say I'm mad is an understatement.

I'm a very forgiving person and usually am reasonable, however, the things Grey is piling onto me for no reason is making me livid.

"Violet, if you need clothes I'll buy you some. Hell I'd pay for anything you want here."

"Paying for everything isn't going to fix a single problem I have." I roll my eyes.

"Please don't be difficult. How about we make a compromise?"

I look at him through my lashes annoyed, but wait to hear his compromise.

"I'll let you go out, but you need to be with me. At all times."

I huff a little. I mean something is better than nothing. Right? "I can do that." I grit out.

"Ok, good, now as for things you need; tell me what you want and I'll get it." He responds.

"whatever." I get out of the chair and leave.

"I didn't excuse you." He raises his voice.

I stand there a little shaken a by his tone and let out an obnoxious loud sigh.

"Look, I know you're mad at me and everything. But, if you want we can take a trip to your apartment to pick of a few things up tomorrow, I'm available all day."

I want to squeal. Smile! Jump up and down!

But I'm still mad at him. So I won't. Instead I nod and he excuses me.
