I slap my hand over my mouth and look at Grey with wild eyes spread over my face.

For a second in my distress I hear a slight click but ignore it because right now I'm delusional. He brings the worst out in me! I never cuss and sure that sounds like something a toddler would say, but it just never satisfied me to cuss someone out.

Not until now at least.

"Wow. I guess we both have changed." He looks off.

A sick feeling fills my stomach and I can't look at him. I can't just can't look at him like I didn't just call him an ass and acted so cold to him.

His fingers delicately go under my chin and bring my face up look at his.

He's slightly bent over staring directly into my eyes, more like my soul honestly. I'm forced to look into his stark grey eyes.

"I might've changed." His adam's apple slightly bobbles. "but my feelings haven't." He whispers.

I take a sharp intake of and air and he lets go of my chin and walks off.

Oh no he's cheating. Madison is going to be so disappointed in me. She's been cordial all nights

"Don't worry about Madi by the way." He looks over his shoulder. "We were never dating." He winks.

I look at him with worried eyes and gulp slightly. He makes no sense sometimes and my face turns red as I look away.

Bolting to the bathroom I enter and run water over my hands to calm myself down. Putting water on my face wouldn't be ideal with makeup on. I shake the water off by shaking my hands like a maniac, but I just can't shake this weird feeling washing over me.

"Ok. Get a grip." I shake my head and grip on the counter for dear life. "Don't let him affect you that much."

Little interactions like this shouldn't leave me this affected...right?

Heading back to the table, I try to not only walk normal in these annoying heels, but keep my composure as well. Sitting back in my seat I notice Grey is still gone.

Madison notices too and my look to me, "He's gone for smoke."

Must be his cover up.

"Wasn't bad right?"  Mason asks once head back in his car.

"Mhm." I mumble.

Truthfully I just want to go home and over think in the safety of my bed. Then I'll over analyze and try to rationalize my actions as not embarrassing as they were.

"I think it went good." Mason gives me a sympathetic smile.

I smile back because seeing Mason smile is rare. Even if it is fake-ish.

We enter his car and I look out the window the entire ride home not saying a word. My mind is too busy replaying the situation.

Entering my apartment, I fling my shoes off first, mostly because my feet have been killing me all night. I run to my room and jump on my bed and lazily shimmy my dress off.

Settling into some comfy clothes, I click the TV on and decide to numb my brain with some dumb reality TV. I scroll through channels and pause on the news. I spread my pillows around me, like some sort of nest and snuggle in for a quiet night.

Clicking the remote I flick to some celebrity drama channel. It's pretty dumb, but I still watch it anyway. Dumb drama is pretty interesting.

"The single hot bachelor has a girl?" The lady sings out.

A picture of Grey in a black suit fills the screen then goes to the TV background behind the drama lady.

"Mr. Jones was caught in a restaurant looking realll comfy with a girl. Ladies how do you feel about our HAWT bachelor with an average looking girl? Personally, I think he can do way better. Cough. Cough. ME!" She laughs out.

Another coworker beside her laughs and I squint my eyes on the photo.

"I mean look at her! She looks a little desperate to me." She snickers and almost snorts.

A photo of Grey towering over me flicks on the screen.

I bounce out of my nest and raise my body with my hands and knees to look at myself in the picture.

No kidding I do look desperate.

It was that stupid moment when I- well I thought he was going to kiss me...

My whole face breaks out in a worry frenzy and I shakily grab my phone. Getting into my phone fast I dial with out thinking.

"Hello?"
