Chapter 6  

..:Zach POV:..

I groaned and tried getting up but hands gently pushed me back down.

"Stay still Mr. Summers. You took a pretty hard beating." I heard someone say. I opened my eyes and saw a nurse and doctor leaning over me. I frowned confused, what happened?

"What happened?" I mumbled hoarsely. The doctor sighed and went into detail. A guy broke into my house and beat me and my friends up but I guess I got in a few beatings since my knuckles are bruised and swollen. Why don't I remember anything? I thanked the doctor and watched him and the nurse walk out of the room. I looked around and saw Ash laying on the couch with some dude holding her. I frowned more and tried getting up to see who the guy was. I groaned when I sat up and looked down at my bare chest only to see all the bruises. Damn, I got a bad beating. I looked to see Ashley moving around and open her eyes. She looked at me with a guilty expression in her eyes and got up slowly to not wake up the guy. She walked to me and pushed me back down gently.

"Lay back bubba, you're hurt real bad." She whispered. I grabbed her arm and pulled her to me so I could see the guy laying on the couch. It was the asshole that had his hands all over her. I growled and tried getting up but Ashley wouldn't let me.

"No, Zach stop! Please!" She gave me a sad look, silently begging me to lay back down. I sighed and did so, fighting the wince when I accidently pressed on a bruise. I heard groaning and looked back at the kid and saw his face purple and black. Good. I gave him a good beating too! He got up and looked around for Ash. When he saw me holding her arms, he quickly got up to grabbed her and pushed her behind him.

"No, Toby! Stop, he didn't hurt me." I heard her whisper. She ran his hands down his back and whispered things in his ear. I saw him physically relax and hug her tight to him. I growled in annoyance and tried getting up again.

"Zach stay still!" Ash yelled at me. She glared at me and I laid back down. Damn, she can be scary.

"So who's this asshole that's wrapped around my sister's finger?" I mumbled. The guy, Toby I think, walked to me and held out his hand.

"I'm Toby Anderson and I'm your little sisters boyfriend." I frowned and looked to Ash and saw her surprised expression; apparently she didn't know that. I grabbed his hand, shook it before punching him in his nose and watch him fall to the ground groaning. I grinned and saw Ash kneel down and try to check him.

Toby POV

The asshole punched me! I groaned and held my nose trying to stop the bleeding. God. I can feel it's throbbing. 

"Toby, are you okay? Shit, that's a stupid question. I'll get the doctor!" She stood up but I grabbed her hand.

"Don't leave me here with him!" I managed to say. She had that adorable smile on and kissed my forehead before leaving the room. I looked up at her brother grinning smugly at me and I backed up. I don't trust the asshole. He smirked at me and just laid down and closed his eyes. I grabbed a towel and held it to my nose when the doctor walked in. 

"You left him in here with Zach? Ms. Summers, I can't believe you did that" He frowned at her. Ash just shrugged and giggled quietly, girl is gonna be the death of me. The doctor checked out my nose, it wasn't broken but there would be a lot of bruising and pain. Great.

"C'mon honey, I'll take you home so you can rest." Ash cooed at me. I glared at her while she giggled at me. She was enjoying my pain. Probably because I deserved it after knocking her brother unconcious. 

"You'll be the death of me one day princess." I growled at her. She winked at me and took my hand then kissed her brother on the cheek.

"Be good, don't give the doctors or nurses a bunch of trouble. I'll be back later." She whispered to him. He rolled his eyes and turned on the tv. She sighed and dragged me out of the room and out into the hallway. I grabbed her waist and pushed her into the wall and pushed my hips into hers.
