Ruy looked up from his homework, done at last with those blasted questions. Who the heck cared about what happened back in the sixteen hundreds? Nothing super duper important happened during that time period anyway.

"Are you guys done?" He asked.

"Yep." Alvar answered.

"Just have to write my name." Brant said, hurriedly scratching it out.

"Two more questions." Trix glanced up from his paper.

A few short minutes later, everyone's homework was packed up and ready to go.

"Now," Ruy began as they all leaned in. "we begin."

"Pyren, would you please quit with the puppy face?" Gisela questioned, giving him an annoyed glance.

"What does he want?" Glimmer asked, looking up lazily from her feet dangling and making small streams and swirls in the pool.

"He wants to come into the shade."

"Oh, let him. We'll help you if anything gets out of hand." The girl urged.

"And he wants to share my chair. My nice, cool, large cushioned chair." She griped.

"Now I want that chair more than ever after that heavenly description." Fintan warned, walking over and plopping himself on the end of it.

"If you stay there...."

"Then it's okay? Great!" He supplied.

A few seconds later, he had his arm snaked around her waist.

She gave him a look but didn't move, instead picking up a book and resuming her pursuit of the plot.

Fintan slipped behind her, wedging himself between the cushion of the chair and her back, then began reading over her shoulder.

A second later his eyes widened in horror as he read what she was reading.

"Oh, calm down. It's nothing that bad." Gisela rolled her eyes.

"What?" Gethen also looked over from where he was flopped out lazily on another chair.

"She's- reading- about- mass- genocide- in- graphic- detail!" Fintan hissed loudly.

Gisela gave a sigh, and tucked the book away under one of the cushions. "There. I'll read when I have peace at night."

"Make it right before you sleep. That's how I train my imagination." Vespera advised, snapping her book shut after finishing it.

"You two are seriously hidden psychos." Circ interjected, finally looking up in mild horror from the half-finished cylinder he was constructing.

"Thank you." They both accepted calmly, then gave each other a smile.

Fintan yawned, stretching his free arm above his head. "I'm taking a nap. You two psychos have fun talking about whatever. But I better not wake up covered in cornstarch or something."

"No promises." The female grinned evilly.

"That's why you're my favorite." He muttered before shutting his eyes.

In no time, he was dead asleep.

"Dang, does he sleep at all?" Vespera inquired. "I mean, I stay up all night reading, but I'm fine."

"Dunno." Gisela replied, waving a hand in front of his face.

"Now what?"

"I think I'll go back to my reading. You should go grab something from my library. When you go back down, it's down the hallway to the right, then turn the corner. It'll be the fourth door on your right." Gisela instructed, then reached for her novel.
