chapter eleven

We went inside and found mom.

"Who was at the door Layla?" Mom said

"It was Brooklyn and the knight that helped her run away"

"Where are they?"

"Right behind me, do you want to see them?"

"Yes please"

Layla stepped out of the way so mom could see us. Mom looked us over and growled at Lilly.

"Mom it's ok, she's nice"

"She can't be too nice if she took you away from us"

"She didn't take me I wanted to leave"

"Why would you want that?"

"I want to see the world mom, I don't want to be stuck in an old castle for the rest of my life"

"Fine, then leave and don't bother ever coming back again"

We left and by the time we got about a mile away I started to cry.

"What have I done? Now I'll never see my family again" I said as tears started to roll down my cheeks.

"It's ok, you still have me and Sky, and I'm sure Alicia and Emma would be willing to check in on them for you"

"True" I said as I stopped crying

"See, it's not that bad"

"I know"

We hugged and I kissed her. We walked until sundown, stopping only to eat lunch. After we ate supper we laid out camp and slept in the same tent.
