In which Keigo gets an answer

The Winged Hero knew he'd only need to grab a few things. Humming as he looked at the list he had summarized on his phone over the week. It was simple things like milk and bread. There were a few things that he wanted that he had gotten a certain craving for. Keigo made it down to the carpark and then realized the other had left him the car and had taken the transit to work that morning. This is why he loved his fiancé so much.

The blonde hopped into the car and was about to pull out of the garage when he saw a certain red and white haired individual. Alongside a beaked individual. His interns. Keigo cursed and knew they had seen him too. He put the car into park in its spot and turned it off as the two teens came over to him. They are now in their third years. So they both had changed over the years. Tokoyami had gotten a lot more mature looking. And Todoroki had let his hair grow out. Enough to braid or put in a ponytail. Which right now he had the latter.

"Good morning, Hawks-san." Tokoyami greeted first.
"I told you two before, you don't have to be formal. But good morning to you too." The older replied. The black bird nodded and proceeded to bow a little.
"I don't suspect my brother's around?" Shoto asked in his still quiet but strong voice. Keigo knew this was just how all Todoroki's sounded.
"He already left for work." Keigo responded. The split boy nodded and stood next to his classmate. Watching their mentor.

Keigo put his hands in his pockets and hummed softly.
"I was just about to run to the store since this is my day off." The blonde told the two. They nodded.
"We can go for you, if you'd like." Shoto responded. Keigo laughed lightly and shook his head.
"Nah, it's alright. I can do it." He replied and leaned against the hood of his car. "I don't need the agency thinking I'm not teaching you anything. And that you're only being used as lackeys."

The younger two laughed as well. Tokoyami looked at the blonde.
"Are we training today?" He asked gently.
"Since it's my day off? Normally I wouldn't do anything. But if you two really want to, I can call Rumi and see if we can go to her place and do something. Since, ya' know. She has a house and not an apartment." Keigo replied.
"We don't have to do anything, I was just wondering." Tokoyami said, putting his hands up a little. The split teen agreed with him.

"No, you two are technically supposed to be working every time you're with me. I just slack off. You two have a good grip on what being a Hero is. You have a good head on your shoulders. You'll do just fine without me really needing to teach you anything." Keigo told them. And he wasn't saying that just to get out of training with them. He really did think they were strong enough and were smart enough to start out in the Hero world. He also knew, from experience, that there's just some things you can't teach someone when they decide to become a Hero. You just learn them as you go.

"So we're going to Ru-I mean Mirko-san's house?" Tokoyami said, eliciting a sigh from the older.
"Rumi-san is fine and she'll tell you the same. As to your question, yes. So hop in. I can run to the store later. It wasn't anything important anyways." The winged Hero replied as he opened his driver's side door and got back inside the car. He waited for the other two to get in and buckle up. Smirking as they both got in the back out of respect. He'd just have to tell his partner to stop and pick up the bare necessities from the list on the way home from work.

The bird started the drive to his co-worker's house. Humming along to the song on the radio as he pulled into her driveway. It wasn't a very far drive from his apartment building, but was enough to make him get out and stretch. He rubbed at the back of his neck while the other two got out. Keigo led them to the front door and knocked a few times. He crossed his arms and shifted his weight while he heard footsteps gradually getting closer and closer.
