The forgotten kingdom

Chapter 20

"I would love that. I haven't hit the waves in a few days. See you tonight Aden. Dinner at my place 10 sharp."

Lynn was on her board with Selena next to her.

"I knew your mother Lynn. She was my best friend when I was little." Lynn felt everything click.

"You're the Selena my mom trained herself to be a guardian. She talked about you all the time." Selena laughed.

"I'm glad she is well. I miss her dearly." Lynn then realized something.

"Aden is Nyx's son then. His middle name was after my dad." Selena smiled at her.

"You didn't tell him who your parents are yet?" Lynn shook her head no.

"I knew he would ask how they were still alive because everyone thinks they are dead." Selena laughed.

"Nyx never thought they were dead. He still thinks they are out there somewhere." Lynn smiled.

"Selena you knew who I was all along didn't you." The woman nods.

"Yes, I did your mom told me about you being Aden's soulmate. So, I wanted to meet you. I won't tell anyone about your parents, but Lynn I think you should tell Aden he would understand."

Lynn was back at home and getting dinner ready, there was a knock on the door. Lynn opened it and saw the guild leader's son Keith standing there.

"Hey Lynn with you being in the guild I think we should hang out." When he pushed himself inside, she rolled her eyes.

"Keith you need to leave now," she said as she walked into the kitchen. He was pouring a drink and hands her one.

"Just want to toast a new hunter." Lynn takes the drink and downs it.

"Keith it's time to leave." She turned and felt dizzy. When Keith came behind her.

"I don't think so, sweetheart."

Aden was at him when he felt panic and fear. He didn't know what was wrong.

"Aden are you okay?" he looked up at Selena.

"I don't know." She walked closer to him and touched him.

"Aden go to Lynn now. you're feeling what she is. She is in danger now go." Aden took off out the door. He ran to her place and opened the door. What he saw sent him into a rage.

Lynn was trying to fight off Keith but whatever he put in her drink had her too weak.

"You will be mine, Lynn." When he pulled her top off, she felt sick and threw up on the man.

"You stupid bitch." He tossed her to the ground kicking her and hitting her. When he was pulled off her, she tried to move.

"Keith get out now. I will be talking to your father about your actions towards another hunter."

Aden watched him leave then moved over to Lynn.

"Baby open your eyes." When she did, he sighed. Picking her up he carried her up to her room. Laying her down he went to get a wet rag to clean her up. She grabbed his arm.

"Don't leave me." Aden kissed her hand.

"I'm just getting a wet rag, Hun." She let him go. When he came back, he touched her arm and felt her flinch.

Aden stayed at her side the whole night. When she woke up screaming, he would hold her. His touch would calm her, and she would try to apologize. When morning came Lynn was sore and didn't want to move. She felt movement and Aden leaned down and kissed her cheek.
