The forgotten kingdom

Chapter 21

Lynn woke up the next morning in Aden's arms.

"How are you feeling Hun?" she looked up at him.

"I'm okay. Aden did you sleep last night?" he shook his head no.

"Lynn, I talked to my dad and I think we should become Glaives. Gilgamesh came to me last night. He said a fight is coming and we are a big part of it. Dad said he could get us in the same unit. Gladio's son would be with us. We would train to protect the prince. Like Gladio, Ignis and Prompto used to." Sitting up she took his hand.

"Okay as long as I'm with you."

So, the next day they started their training. Gladio's son's name was Miko. Libertus's son's name was Tanner. The four got along great. A year later and they were the best unit in the Glaives. The four hung out all the time. This night had the four checking the east gate.

"Tanner, do you see anything?" Lynn asked over her com.

"Miko's ass in my face." She heard Aden mumble behind her and smiled.

"You guys are ticking off Aden." There was silence for a few minutes.

"Hey Ulric chill dude or no drinks for you," Miko replied with a laugh.

Lynn turned and kissed Aden calming him down.

"They are a bunch of children I swear." He tells her.

"I know baby. They are just blowing off steam. We been out here for three days now." She was the unit leader and Aden was second in command. The unit had decided this together. They were all tired of sitting here with nothing to do.

"Lynn look to the east," Tanner said from his spot. When she did, she saw a group of reapers.

"What the hell I thought all the daemons were gone?" she said as she stood up with Aden next to her.

Lynn jumped down from the wall and moved closer. As they got close she froze.

"Find the child of the Goddess and bring her to me." Lynn looked at Aden.

"who is that?" he asked but she just shook her head. Someone was looking for her and whoever it was has found a way to bring back daemons. Aden pulled her away and they met up with the rest of the unit to head back. Since it was late, they stay at a haven.

Lynn had finished eating and was watching Tanner and Miko sparing.

"Lynn talk to me. I can feel your panic and worry remember." She looked over as Aden came and sat next to her.

"Why would someone be after me? Aden what if this is the fight we were told was coming? My mother hasn't been helpful. I love her but she stays in Goddess mode all the time." He put his arm around her waist and pulled her to him kissing the top of her head.

"We will fight this together. I'm your champion remember."

They got back to the city the next afternoon and gave their report. Lynn was in the training room with Aden sparing. Everyone else had already gone home. Lynn was about to attack when she felt a pain shoot up her side. She screamed out as the pain got worse. She kept hearing a female voice tell her to go to the king and she did.

"Lynn wait." She heard Aden but couldn't stop herself. She walked into the throne room and saw Bahamut had Noctis and her father pinned down.

"No Lynn run. Go, sweetheart." Her father yelled.

Aden ran into the room and saw her standing there. He moved in front of her and saw her eyes were black and purple.

"Aden trust me and move away." Her voice was calm, and he felt no fear from her anymore. She took a step towards the God.
