Sorry for the posting delay! Let me say from the beginning that not all of the police interactions will be totally accurate to real life. For most things, I have done research or have experience, but other things are hard to get results for or have been more fictionalized for the sake of the story. Anyways, enjoy!

Sebastian's POV
----------------------------------------
The police station was quiet but chaotic at the same time. People were walking all over the place, phones were ringing, people were talking to police, and a few people were placed in a holding cell...
Detective Miller lead Talon's mom and I up a flight of stairs onto the second floor of the building, which looked similar to the section downstairs but a little calmer. He told us it was where their special units worked from.
Miller brought us into a room that looked like a small lounge. There was an oval-shaped table with four office chairs and a brown couch on the wall next to the door. It was decorated kind of like a teacher's lounge, with bookshelves and plants. There were windows to outside and windows that looked into the other part of the station. Detective Miller pointed us to sit down on the couch.
He pulled out a writing pad and sat at one of the office chairs, turning it to face the couch where we sat.
"Let's start working on a possible AMBER Alert, okay?" He said slowly to us. Neither of us were really able to process fully yet.
He asked us about a lot of information regarding the Amber alert requirements, like Talons full name, birthday, age, appearance, recent photos of him, what he was wearing today and other stuff like that. Anne answered most of the questions like that.
"Now I have to ask... Is Talons father in the picture?" Miller asked, turning his head toward Anne. She shook her head.
"Could he have had anything to do with this? Parental abduction is more common than nonfamily abduction..."
"No... uhm, it wouldn't be him." Anne spoke, shaking her head again. She dabbed at the tears from her eyes with a handkerchief she'd gotten from her purse. "He left when my boys were little. He said this wasn't the family he'd envisioned and that he couldn't pretend to be happy anymore. He said he wanted nothing to do with us, and he moved across the country with another woman. He paid his child support, but he never reached out again..."
I butted in, "Plus, I know it's not his dad. He was kidnapped before. He told me two police officers came to his house asking about robberies or something." I explained urgently when suddenly I remembered something. The whole situation has frazzled my brain, and I can't think straight. "Wait-- He sent me a picture of the car!" I said wide-eyed, fumbling to get my phone out of my pocket.
"I screenshotted it to ask my parents!" I said, showing the photo to Detective Miller. It was a black car that looked like it could be a sedan.
"That's great! This is definitely what we need for an Amber Alert," Miller said. He stood over me add helped me email the screenshot as well as a few pictures of Talon. He said that he had to watch me send them for paperwork and legal purposes.
"I have just one more question for now. Does Talon have any siblings or friends that might be able to give us information that you don't know?"
"Oh, shit..." Anne mumbled with a hollow voice, dipping her face into her hands, "I need to tell Darryn."
"I'll give you guys some time to process while I get started on the Amber Alert. Call for anyone just outside the door if you guys need anything," Miller said solemnly, leaving the room slowly.
