"You're crazy!" First reaction.

"This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard," Second reaction.

What caused me to say both of these sentences, you'll have to read to find out.

It started off normal, it was Sunday so I was getting a tan on the beach, with Wild Card being buried by Guppy in the sand. I giggled every time he swallowed some sand. He glared every time I did so. I would stick my tongue out. My phone rang.

"Hello," I answered.

"Report to house, immediately," I didn't recognize the voice, it definitely wasn't Mr. Caddel.

He hung up.

"Come on, we have a mission," I say.

I use my powers to lift up all the sand covering my boyfriend. We are soon in the house, after spraying water on Wild Card, so he wouldn't track sand into the house. We were about to enter when a guard stopped Wild Card.

"Girls only," That was odd, he could get in before.

"Please return to your house."

"Alright, I'll see you guys later," Wild Card shrugged and waved before retreating to his house that was next door.

I entered with Guppy by my side. Everyone else was sitting on the couch or floor. I had a towel wrapped around my waist and Guppy had one strewn across her shoulder. I led her over to the floor and Mr. Caddel appeared in front of a TV screen.

"We want to know your weaknesses so we decided to make a game," He explained.

"It will be boys vs. girls. Except this isn't some board game. You will have to go on an adventure with limited supplies and figure out riddles on the way. You will methodically go to enemy bases all over the world and have to extract information that will bring you to the next base. Only rule, is that you can't skip bases, if you have suspicions, you can't act on them and do all of them. Killing and maiming is allowed and somewhat encouraged. There will be chance of death, actually 50/50 shot of survival, but those who do stay alive, will be better and stronger than ever before," Mr. Caddel explained.

I pulled Guppy onto my lap when I heard about the chance of death. I felt my energy start to slip out of control but I forced it back. I immediately mapped out how this would probably go. It was an awful idea, I thought he wanted a whole team not one that is broken from death. Others seemed to have the same idea.

"That's crazy!" I yelled, it being drowned out by other sounds of outrage.

"It will provide you to figure out your Achilles heel and it will show who can actually survive in the big bad world without endless money and resources. There is no time limit, it could take 2 years, could take 2 days. Who knows? I suggest getting packed, this isn't optional," He warned.

"This is the stupidest idea I have ever heard," I mutter as we slowly walk up the stairs. Immediately, we shut the door that leads downstairs and start cursing Mr. Caddel.

"What should we do?" Acapella asks Missy.

"We have to follow along, maybe we can run into the boys on the way and protest this. But we have zero power here and who knows, there is a 50% chance we all live, possibly," Missy trails off.

"Ok, so pack all of your suits, opt for all of the bullet proof equipment and such. Weapons are necessary, especially for you Missy and Fast Forward, you have no protection. Guppy all the water that you can possibly stuff. Don't worry about weight but do worry about size, I don't want to have to carry so much stuff it is hard to move around and not draw attention. Choose duffel bags and backpacks over suit cases, they look less suspicious in more populated areas," I order.

They nod and head off. I go to my room. I didn't need to many bullet proof things, the wind wasn't affected by my bracelets that Mr. Caddel sometimes made me wear, so safety wise I felt okay. But I knew that in books, this is where the character makes a really bad mistake. So I pack 3 suits of mine, 2 being bullet proof. I have a portable shield, it's a head band that turns into a full body shield. I slip that into my hair. I pack some baseball hats so people wouldn't recognize me, and clothes for every climate.

I pack some water, just in case for Guppy. I also pack some snacks that don't expire, easily. I wipe my hands when 30 minutes later, my duffle bag was packed. It had stuff that were more permanently. It was stuffed to the brim and took a lot to close, Missy helped me when she came in to ask a question. There had been a duffle bag and backpack sitting on my bed that I chose to use.

Soon we were all standing in the living area that connected all of our rooms. My backpack was slung across my shoulder and my bag in hand. We had all gone to the bathroom so that we would be ready in case there was a no bathroom available area. Food had been brought in and we ate until our stomachs were aching in protest. Some soldiers then led us down to the beach.

The boys were led there as well, we stood opposite of them. Wild Card glared at me and I was taken aback. I held Guppy's hand tightly. I looked at the line up and tried to scan both our team and theirs for weaknesses.

-Wild Card had so many powers that he would struggle mastering all of them at once, only reaching the surface of their potential.

-Face Maker, could only make odd faces, only a good distraction tool and wouldn't be able to make steady contributions to their team

-Noodles, tired easily when using his powers, he was also over used and could get cocky about his powers, causing for others on their team to feel insecure.

-Wheels, had an impairment and was like Missy on our team, he would make most of the calls and do only technical things, only mental abilities.

-Rewind, could only rewind a few seconds, but could help mistakes that they made. But him and Fast Forward require each other to really expand their powers

-Slow-Mo, he was slow and would probably be hard to travel, he could speed up but that was only with the twins' combined powers, he wouldn't be much help at all.

Our team:

-Acapella was still exploring her abilities and they all depended on how well she could hold her breath while her mouth was open.

-Fast Forward, had the same problem that Rewind had. They are connected and can't do much without each other. She can look into the future.

-Missy had no powers, therefore she could prove to be a liability. She had okay fighting skills but we would be going against some of the most skilled people in the world

-Guppy, she had to have water, and can run out of it easily. Which would prove a worry when having a long fight that would halt her from drinking or obtaining more water.

-Harper, emotions. It was simple. My powers were controlled by my emotions, if I was sad then I would be less likely to be in the mood for an important fight. Or I could go to far and lose info.

Either way, whatever would occur, this was the next big adventure and what would happen.

"It's the story of my life," I sighed as I finished my list.

(Can you let me know if I forgot anyone? I just don't want to miss someone. Also I noticed that the boys had more people than the girls... I'm awful at hiding the lyrics so sorry)
