but her stomach rumbled like thunder
and her hair became paper thin.
she doesn't need to eat,
yet she's freezing
and becoming paler than the moon.
she's not thin enough yet;
you can't see her ribs press against her skin
and the number on the scale taunts her still.

she lies through her teeth,
she won't stop
until the number drops.
