"THERE WILL BE NO POTION BREWING IN TODAY'S CLASS," said Professor Snape, his low voice carrying effortlessly across the large class.

Elodie shivers slightly, pulling her scarf tighter around her neck. The dungeons were always cold, but especially today, since no fires were lit under the cauldrons. She allowed Professor Snape's voice to be drowned out by the all too inviting thoughts of yesterday's DADA class.

"El," Penelope's urgent whisper brought her quickly out of my flashback. She then looked around quickly and saw that most of the class was looking at her, Fred and George wearing amused expressions.

"Now that you've kindly stopped staring at the blackboard so, uh, shall we say, affectionately, Ms Ashcombe, do you know the answer?" Snape asked maliciously. The Slytherin students laughed, as they always did when Snape embarrassed a student. She simply stared at him, horrified, as a blush crept across my face. Had my thoughts shown on my face so clearly?

"Um, I'm sorry, Professor, what was the question?" She asks, knowing fully well that Professor Snape already knew that she hadn't heard a word of his question.

"Five points from Gryffindor for daydreaming in class," He said almost lazily, "Now, the question was, what is the wolfsbane potion used for?" He added, indicating slightly with his head at a cauldron containing a shimmering golden-green potion.

The potion smoked slightly, giving off a faint smell that could only be liken to raw fish crossed with scrambled egg. Eww... She shivers slightly. I hate fish.

"Wolfsbane?" She asked, "Hold on, I know this, "Isn't, isn't that used for helping werewolves, on a full moon? Stops them from being dangerous?"

"Correct," said Snape sourly, obviously annoyed that she had answered the question correctly. She looks over at Pen, who mouthed "Well done."

"The wolfsbane potion is extremely complex, well beyond the NEWTs level. Like the Felix Felicis and amortentia, you will need to be able to recognize it and understand its uses," he continued in his usual drawl of a voice,

"Wolfsbane is a recent discovery, it allows the werewolf to keep his or her mind during the full moon, however it does not prevent the transformation, so the person will be a human in a wolves body, and more or less, harmless..."

The end of the lesson couldn't have come sooner; even with as much as she loved potions, She couldn't stand Snape most of the time. After he had his go at her, she was pretty much excited to leave the dungeons.

She, Penelope, Fred, and George walked with the rest of the Gryffindors to the great hall for dinner; George was raving about a prank he had pulled. She currently wasn't paying attention.

Though, Penelope, however, was giving him her full attention, throwing in comments like, "Is that right?" And "Oh, that's brilliant!" Every time he paused for breath, although Elodie knew Pen probably couldn't really care less about the subject.

Suppressing a grin, Elodie reached out to open the door leading into the Great Hall, only to find another hand knocked into mine as it also reached to open it.

"Sorry," Elodie says as she looks up, "Accide-"

The rest of the word was lost in her head when she saw who owned the hand that she had just hit. It was Professor Lupin.

"My apologies," he said gracefully. Her eyes widened as she stumbled backward, lost for words, as he leaned forward to open the door. Suddenly, she felt at ease, again. He smiled kindly, which made her heart feel weightless, held the door open, and said,

"After you,"

"Thank you, Professor," She mumbled, avoiding his gaze and quickly pushed a highly amused Penelope, Fred, and George through the doors and past the rest of the Gryffindors and sat down at the Gryffindor table.

"I thought we agreed that you were going to act cool around Lupin, you know, so he doesn't get suspicious?" Penelope asked as she started loading her plate with steak, "You've been doing well so far. What happened there?"

"What's happening." Fred and George chorused together. Penelope sighs, "Our El, here has a crush on the current Dada Professor."

"Really we-"

"-Thought you were joking.."

Then both the twins let out a laugh. While she stared at them, annoyed. "He touched me," Elodie whispered in reply.

"What?"

"He touched me, Pen, he touched me!" She said, her excitement growing with each second, feeling irrationally happy. "When I reached to open the door, he extended his hand at the same time, and our hands touched!"

Penelope rolled her eyes, "Get a grip, so he touched your hand for like a nanosecond."

Penelope then pretended to vomit into her bowl, so Elodie laughed and said, "Alright, alright, I was kidding. But yeah, you're right. It's I get these weird mixes of emotions when around him... But this time, he kinda appeared out of nowhere, and I wasn't ready, and plus, he touched me, so that was a bit of a shock..."

"Shock?" said Pen, smirking slightly, "A bit of an understatement, isn't it? You looked like you were about to swoon."

"No," Elodie exclaimed in horror, "You're joking, right? Fred, George, tell me it wasn't that obvious!"

They all laughed before George answered. "No, okay, it wasn't that bad-"

"But you looked a little stunned when you first saw him-" Fred adds.

"But I don't think he noticed because he turned quickly to open the door." George then finishes.

"That's really starting to get annoying, you know." She grumbles as her three friends laugh.
