A WEREWOLF IS OF COURSE A VERY DANGEROUS CREATURE and once it has met, maturity changes begin, such as heightened senses, more powerful magic and stronger emotions which can lead to violent outbursts.

The primal magic kicks in. When it kicks in, the werewolf is no longer themselves.

Their running off of pure instincts alone. Though werewolves are at their most dangerous when their mate is threatened.

Werewolves mate for life, they know on instinct when they hit maturity as soon as they see their mate.

Being a werewolf's mate can be both a burden and pleasure. Especially when a werewolf mate is a human. After finding their mate, they feel an immediate urge to find them and begin going through three stages once they have found their mate:

Mark their mate: with a bite while in their human form. This mark must be given to the mate with their consent, but this is avoided by some werewolves by using the illegal imperious curse just before the mark is given, causing the mate to believe they want it.

Second: the werewolf must then gain complete trust of their mate. Third: Both the werewolf and its mate must be bonded spiritually in a ceremony where they speak vows and seal it with a kiss, after this the mate must mark the werewolf in the same manner that the werewolf first did to them.

After completing these three stages, the werewolf and their mate are linked forever.

The burdens of being a mate of a werewolf, especially when the bond is not complete. Includes jealousy if they are to even speak to a member of the opposite sex and if you are the mate of a dark (darker than others) werewolf then they will turn you into a werewolf to ensure you will never leave them.

One pleasure of being a mate of a werewolf is that the werewolf can never physically hurt you.

When you are the mate of a werewolf no one can harm you without severe consequences, also a werewolf, in nearly all cases, will do anything in their power to ensure the happiness of their mate, tending to physical needs as well mental ones.

At this point, Elodie had slammed the book closed, causing some first years nearby to jump, and madam pince to let out a loud 'Shh!' She then ran a shaky hand through her hair.

'A werewolf is of course a dangerous creature' what a load of rubbish, Remus wasn't dangerous until this 'primal magic' kicked in. If anything, she felt safer with him.

Is that why he was trying to get so close to me in the hospital wing? Could he... Feel my emotions or whatever?

She sighed heavily and leaned back in the hard wooden chair of the library. She just wishes she could speak to him. Alone.

But after the incident with Penelope. He was allowed to stay up until after the full moon. And he was forced to leave. Of course, she was to be nowhere near the hospital wing while he was there. Why is this my life?

Even though she knew it was the right thing to do because things were getting out of hand.

But despite everything... she missed him.

Does it always feel this? I mean, come on, I don't even know the guy...

Elodie's just glad she could convince the headmaster not to tell her sister. Ramona with flip-out, maybe do something crazy like say she has to come home.

Her sister has always been semi- uncomfortable with Hogwarts and or The Wizarding World.

To say Penelope was shaken up was a total understatement. Remus choked her... But no matter how many times she's asked, Penelope refuses to speak about it. Which she can understand...

Elodie then sighs before closing the book. She then heads to the Gryffindor common room.
