THE DAY AFTER THE HALLOWEEN FEAST. Fred and George decided to prank some teachers after the feast. Which meant they were probably in detention... Elodie was also disappointed that she hadn't seen Professor Lupin last night.

It was starting to get colder. Elodie and Penelope spent the time before dinner that day on the school grounds, sitting under a large tree near the lake. Thier cloaks pulled tightly to their bodies.

It was one of their favourite spots- when it was a sunny day it was shady, and had a nice view of the lake, though Elodie suspects the reason Pen likes it so much is she has a quiet place to study.

After a while, the two girls get up. I started to head to dada class, while Penelope was still flicking through their transfiguration textbook.

"Penny?"

"Mmm?" She replied with her face so close to the book that it was a miracle she could read it at all.

"Do you really need to study so much? You're making me feel bad," Elodie asks teasingly.

Her best friend finally looked up from her book, "In case you haven't realized, we are already finished with the first two months of term and are drowning in homework."

"Tell me about it," she sighs, "I haven't slept early in ages. But still, don't you think you're kinda over doing it? I mean, seriously, you don't need to study every minute of every hour..."

Finally, the two make it into class. Sitting in their spot from last time.

"Ellie, I have two assignments due tomorrow, and I haven't finished either of them. McGonagall expected us to have read chapter 2 by the next class, and both her and Flitwick have set a test for us for this Friday, and that's not to mention all the reading Professor Lupin has asked us to-"

"Alright, alright, I get the point," She said, giving up, "If you ever feel like living, for a change, just let me know."

Penelope stuck out her tongue playfully, but before she could get back to reading, Professor Lupin entered the room, smiling pleasantly, but Elodie noticed, looking very tired.

She frowned slightly as I took in his appearance. He looked a little paler than usual, thought still handsome, and his worn-out robes seemed to hang off him more loosely than usual.

"Are you feeling alright, Professor Lupin?" asked Caleb Cobris, a boy in their year from ravenclaw.

"I'm fine, thank you, Caleb," he said, with a reassuring smile, "I've been a little off color lately, but I'm much better now."

Poor guy, She thought sympathetically. Hetically, he must have been really ill to look so tired.

"Okay, so, before we get on with today's lesson, I would like to just let you know that Professor McGonagall and I have decided that, given how much subject material we need to cram in to one year, it would be best I saw each of you outside of class individually -"

He paused, smiling, as a number of people groaned loudly. Elodie, however, was struggling to suppress what she was feeling. Extra time outside of class with Professor Lupin, alone, was definitely time well spent.

"Yes, I did tell her this is how you would react. But I'm afraid it must be done so I can monitor your progress to make sure no one is falling too far behind. Your appointments times -" he flicked his wand, aiming it at the blackboard, " - are on the board. Each appointment is scheduled for ten minutes, though they are unlikely to go for the full time."

Elodie's eyes raced over the board, looking for her name. November 18th, 5 pm. Her smile brightened; her appointment was a week away. She was one of the first ones.

"Mine is next month!" Penelope groaned.

"That's good, right?" She asks, confused.

"No. I need to do it now before it gets further into terms. Do you think he will let me swap if I asked him?"

"Dunno..." Elodie said, but then quickly realized something, "Try asking him after class, I'll come with you."

So, at the end of the class (a particularly interesting one about dealing with cursed objects), Penelope and Elodie approached Professor Lupin, both of them knowing fully well that the only reason Elodie had suggested it was so she could get to look at Professor Lupin up close.

"How may I help you, girls?" He asked as we approached his desk, smiling, looking more at Penny. She sighs. Such a gorgeous smile, She thought longingly. He has such smooth and shapely lips... she watched as he spoke to Penelope about the appointments, wondering what it would be like to kiss him, and knowing if she even mentioned Professor Lupin and the word kiss in the same sentence to Penny she would probably knock her off one of the highest astronomy towers.

Realizing quickly that staring longingly at a teachers lips while standing less than a meter away from him was not a good idea, she shifts her gaze to his eyes. Up close, his eyes were more captivating than his smile; though she didn't have time to admire them, because they were soon focusing inquisitively on my own.

"Did you have a problem with your appointment, Elodie?" he asked.

"No, Professor," She says quickly, backing up from his desk, not looking at him. "It's fine."

"Thank you, Professor Lupin," Penelope said as she turned to leave the room.

"Any time," he replied as he flicked through a pile of parchment sitting on his desk.

She followed Penelope out of the room, thinking privately that the 18th of November couldn't come soon enough.
